“NIBULON”, one of the leaders of the Ukrainian agricultural market, is well-known in the world. “NIBULON” is the only one in Ukraine which cooperates with the UN within the World Food Program (WFP) because the company allows to ensure high quality of commodities and follow all contract conditions. “NIBULON” constantly takes part in the international tenders which are carried out by the UN. In particular, within this Program, since 2008 “NIBULON” has loaded 43 vessels and that is almost 800 thousand tons of high quality grain. The agricultural commodities were sent to starving people in Pakistan, North Korea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Bangladesh, and Palestine. In July 2012 the UN held the next open tender within this Program for delivery of 9 800 tons of food wheat to Mauritania. “NIBULON” competed with the powerful transnational companies and gained a victory. On August 15, 2012 to the transshipment terminal (Mykolayiv city) there were delivered bags in which grain will be packed after arrival to Mauritania. On the bags there were stated the country-recipient, the supplier, and the name of “NIBULON” company in English. It is pleasant to realize that these bags are a little part of Ukraine. Every Ukrainian must be proud of the fact that the Ukrainian wheat cultivated on the Ukrainian fields will be given within the honorable mission of the UN World Food Program. All the bags were unloaded onboard a non-self-propelled vessel where they were kept till the end of the vessel loading. The unloading of bags (and all the stages connected with the vessel loading) lasted under the supervision of the survey company “Baltic Control Ukraine” hired by the UN. On August 16, the vessel “Ilgaz” (port of registry – Istanbul) arrived to the transshipment terminal accompanied by two tugs. Upon completion of all necessary procedures (customs inspection, opening of the border, etc) the process of loading was started. At the same time with the vessel loading the surveyors performed the control check of grain. On the night of 17/18 August when 9 800 tons of food wheat were shipped in holds of “Ilgaz” vessel, the bags were shipped on grain onboard “Ilgaz” vessel with the help of a floating crane and the hatches were closed. In the morning, on August 18, the Turkish vessel accompanied by two pusher-tugs left the transshipment terminal and was bound to Nouakchott city, the capital of Mauritania. In 10 days, on August 28, the vessel must arrive to the point of destination. The long-term partnership cooperation of the Ukrainian company with the UN is a demonstration of confidence in not only our company but also Ukraine. It is logical that the General Director of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy became a nominee (the only in Ukraine) for the World Food Prize. The given Prize is an analogue of the Nobel Prize in the agricultural sector to be awarded for prominent achievements in the agriculture development in the whole world.
