“NIBULON” occupies dominant positions on domestic agrarian market. Despite of economic problems in country and world, company rapidly continues to develop different areas of business, realizing extensive investment project. Competent social policy has remarkable role in such successfulness. Social safety of employees – is one of the major aspects of successful functioning of enterprise. One of the forms of work with the collective is regular conducting of meetings of the company’s management with employees and discussing of production questions, organization of work, social policy etc. Such regular meeting took place on September 7, 2011 at the major enterprise of “NIBULON” – grain terminal in Mykolayiv. The team of the terminal (three shifts of employees came to the meeting!) met general director of “NIBULON” Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, deputy of general director of maritime security Andriy Volik, director of the transshipment terminal Oleksandr Lepko, senior economist of the terminal Galina Lyuta, acting head of personnel department Olga Nikityuk. During the meeting, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy briefed the team with the affairs of the company, told about the nearest intentions of the company concerning further implementation of investment project and about the prospects of work in 2011-2012 marketing year etc. The meeting took place in atmosphere of complete openness, trusting attitude, team spirit. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy noted with satisfaction that despite all the vagaries of nature, the company successfully completed the harvest of early grains. A record number is thrashed – more than 108 thousand tons, that is 10% higher than last year. In mentioned number the largest share has winter wheat grain – nearly 90 000 tons! It should be noted that this gross culture yield is a maximum for recent years. General Director of the company also stopped in details on the problem of “NIBULON’s” fleet construction, shared experience, that it takes a lot of efforts for shipbuilding and that it is necessary to carry out almost daily active monitoring of the situation on Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard “Okean”. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy also told in details about the situation of interference with the activity of the company. In particular, he gave an example, that as a result of investigative procedures employees of the company transferred to law enforcement officers more than 15 tons of initial documents that for five months, from March to July, 2011 stopped the work of the company. Many employees were forced instead of work to waste hours of interrogation. But even in these conditions we have saved our reputation, didn’t call people for some actions but honestly executed all the requirements of law enforcement officers and helped in the investigation of these fraudulent, false cases. General Director of the company said that he knew who exactly of the bureaucratic apparatus works against the company. Then during the meeting Oleksiy Vadaturskyy honestly answered all the questions, denied all speculations and gossips that have recently spread around the enterprise and domestic agricultural sector in general. The team was pleased to hear the truth directly from the manager of the company. Most participants showed desire to take collective actions. But Oleksiy Vadaturskyy noted that this is the task of the central apparatus of the company, and employees of the grain terminal should create moral support to members of “NIBULON’s” team by their inspired work. Moreover, he said that all inspections sooner or later will be stopped, the perpetrators will be punished, and the company will continue to work normally. At the end of the meeting, General Director of “NIBULON” focused on some pleasant facts that demonstrate company’s development and its successful social component, in particular as respects to the grain terminal in Mykolayiv. 1. Over the past six months, when the company had no quotas for export of grain production, none of employees was redundant. Workers of terminal were involved in work on other company enterprises, retaining their working places. 2. Low employee turnover shows the stability of the company. Specifically, in year 2002, 16 workers obtained employment at the terminal, 11 of them (70%) work till now. In year 2003, 39 people came, now there are 26 of them (67%); in 2004 – 37 people, now work 27 (73%); in 2005 – 55 people, now work 40 (73%); in 2006 –34 people, 25 (75%) work till now. Thus, since year 2005, when the active creation of new working positions at the terminal began, number of employees increased from 100 to 331. 3. The management of the company decided to increase the salary of employees of the terminal to the level of 80% of average wages for year 2010 and introduce a system of bonuses that will increase salaries by 20%. 4. The average salary of employee for shift at the terminal for the last 8 months of year 2011 amounted 4250 UAH (excluding salary of managerial staff, i.e. only representatives of working professionals). Over the same period in year 2010 it amounted 3700 UAH. 5. Indicator of social safety and comfort of the enterprise is creating married couples within it. At the transshipment terminal during the years of its work eight such pairs were created, 52 children (generally in the company – 156 children) were born in employees families. 6. The company is proud of erudition of its employees. Over 60% of workers of the terminal have higher education (basic or full). 7. The average age of young staff of the terminal is 36 years. Over 66% of employees (including 331 men) of the terminal have work experience of 3 years or more. 8. To ensure available around the clock public catering for employees the cost of meals in the cafe of the enterprise includes only the cost of products that are in these dishes – that allows reducing prices twice. Also in order to reduce the cost of food the terminal cafe is supplied with own meat products (branches of Zhytomyr region) and vegetables (branches of Mykolayiv region and own production at the terminal). For example, from the beginning of year 2011 it 3 tons of milk of branch “SE Lidiyivs’ke” (Mykolayiv region) and 2 tons of sausages of branch “Bystrits’ka” (Zhytomyr region) were purchased by employees of the terminal. 9. To improve safety conditions at the terminal for the past six months a qualitative upgrade of material and technical resources and equipment was carried out, in particular, new laboratory and administrative, engineering and other buildings were put into operation, to preserve the health of workers and to reduce their contact with dust during the working process devices for shipping to water and elevators were updated, special boxes were created in truck tippers, belt conveyers were replaced to chain conveyors. Particular attention at the enterprise is paid to culture of production, at the terminal, it reaches a higher level. All employees (from the laboratory assistant to the senior staff) are equipped with modern workplaces. 10. In the chemical-technological laboratory of Mykolayiv terminal from the first days of company existence inspection of air, water and soil quality and determination of dust content are conducted, now after upgrading the laboratory there will be possible to determinate the level of radioactivity, presence of GMOs, mycotoxins and pesticides. In our laboratory, the only in Europe, systematic analysis according to all existing international standards will be done (American, Egyptian, European etc.). So despite all the turmoil in the world and in Ukraine, “NIBULON” continues to occupy dominant positions on the domestic market. We really prove that only comprehensive approach to business, giving much attention to social policy, creating of healthy microclimate in the company allows you to create a strong and cohesive team, capable of new achievements and victories, that makes Ukraine modern and favorite one.
