“NIBULON” continues the investment project on the revival of the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers as shipping transportation water ways of Ukraine – the Kherson region is next in turn. Local authorities, regional state administration creates all necessary conditions for the company, giving a new impetus to the development of investment activity.
The company presents a project of construction of two transshipment terminals in the region, in Novovorontsovka village Novovorontsov district and Kozats’ke village Beryslav district. These terminals that will be built in the Kherson region are to become the next stage of development not only of the company but of the entire economic complex of Ukraine also.
The company intends to build new facilities both by its own financial forces and using resources of international financial institutions. The investment program of the company will amount of about USD 50 million at the first phase and will be implemented in 2011-2012 MY. In addition, the company outlined the prospects for construction facilities in other districts of the region.
The construction site will become international during the construction of transshipment terminals. Each facility will involve more than 50 construction companies from all over Ukraine that is more than 1.4 thousand builders.
Estimated cost of each facility is about UAH 120 million. Technical characteristics are the following: grain storage capacity will be 76 thousand tons, daily capacity of dryers will be 4 thousand tons, shipment capacity on water transport will be 10 thousand tons, the number of employees will be 60 people.
A revolutionary technological solution, providing with the latest equipment will become the feature of each facility. In particular, new dryers of Danish company «Cimbria Unigrain A/S» with greater capacity (100 tons/hour) and the possibility of dust output by conveyors system to the hoppers of aspiration system will be installed in each terminal, moisty grain siloswith a capacity of 250 tons each will be installed, equipment for loading of non-self-propelled vessels (produced by “TELESTACK”, UK) with a capacity of 500 tons / hour is installed.
In order to introduce advanced technologies that ensure the protection of water environment from the pollution, the technology of cleaning household wastewater using ultrafiltration membrane bioreactors produced by “MITSUBISHI” will be introduced. The technology has found wide use in Europe, but in Ukraine it is used by our company for some time.
A modern administrative andlaboratory complex will be situated within the territory of each complex. To ensure perfect accordance of the quality of products shipped with the contractual obligations, the company will equip the laboratory with all necessary the most modern in the world equipment. Among them: grain analyzers “Infratec-1241” (“FOSS Analytical AB” company, Sweden), samplers “Rakoraf” (“PFEUFFER GmbH” company, Germany), thermal drying cabinet (“Binder” company, Germany), infrared analyzer “INSTALAB-600”, grain moisture indicator (“KETT”, Japan), dividers of groove type (“Rationel”, Denmark), fibrin meter “IDK-ZN” (Russia), falling number meter (Russia), etc.
The berth with a length of almost 300 meters will be built onsite the transshipment terminal in Kozats’ke village, that will allow simultaneous mooring of three non-self-propelled vessels. Thus, given the proximity of the facility to Kakhovs’kyy lock, a parking point of cargo fleet of “NIBULON” will be created at the company.
Dredging works will be conducted for an opportunity of mooring of dry-cargo ships to the berth, including two vessels simultaneously at each berth of the company. The company will harness the shore – it will protect the nearshore area from washing out.
Minimum turnover of elevator will be 228 thousand tons (76 thousand x 3), i.e. “NIBULON” will conduct at least 28 ship entries to one enterprise for shipping season (“NIBULON-1” tug with two vessels).
Maximum cargo quantity that elevator will ship on the water transport based on productivity of vessel loading machines is 3.3 million tons (500 tons x 9 months x 30.5 days x 24 hours), i.e. 412 ship entries during shipping season can be conducted.
The good point is the location of the terminals. In particular, facility in Kozats’ke village is situated below Kakhovs’kyy lock that allows conducting water transportation almost year round, upon condition of provision of towing fleet of certain ice class, and “NIBULON” has a fleet of this type.
The proximity of the terminal in Novovorontsovka to “Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka” branch will open new opportunities to improve logistics.
This issue is a priority for “NIBULON” because the company can operate all year, but budget revenues should not be seasonal.
The investment project of “NIBULON’ to Kherson first of all means work places for the builders of the region and for residents of coastal areas of the Dnipro River. In the course of the program implementation services of “NIBULON” will be approached directly to agricultural producers, the company will create proper conditions for acceptance of grain that will significantly increase the agricultural economy of the Kherson region. Providing the introduction of perfect river transport infrastructure by “NIBULON”, roads of the Kherson region will be unloaded.
Putting the terminals into commission will provide public enterprises with work places, such as Mykolayiv commercial sea port, Kherson commercial sea port, “Delta-Pilot” (port charges), SE “Ukrvodshlyah” (fee for passing the locks on the Dnipro River), in the end investment attractiveness of not only the Kherson region, but the Ukraine as a whole is increased.
The government of the region and Kherson Regional Administration Investment strongly support undertakings of “NIBULON”, and in its turn “NIBULON” is interested in the revival of the Dnipro River as a transportation water way, particularly at the mouth of the river that is located in the Kherson region.
Thus, meetings of representatives of the company headed by Director General Oleksiy Vadaturskyy with chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Mykola Kostyak and responsible specialists of different levels have become heart-warming tradition.
Authorities intend to establish working groups for support of the company in the region, they will be engaged in maintenance and promotion of implementation of “NIBULON’s” investment in the Kherson region. Information work with managers of organizations, engaged in coordination of land issues and the issuance of technical specifications for construction, will be conducted.
Meetings with residents and deputies with the goal of wide coverage of the company’s investments in the region will be held on-site.
Mykola Kostyak noted that knows that “NIBULON” can build its elevators very fast, so there is no doubt that the company will discharge obligations imposed. Mykola Kostyak as a manager sincerely willing to increase investments in native region assured that all conditions to minimize red tape and fastest advancement of the investment program of the company will be created.
