As it was mentioned earlier, there is a competition between the shipbuilders and the builders who are building the launchways at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. Their main task is to complete the construction of the first B5000 project vessel (length – 101 m, width – 17 m) and the construction of the launchways for the launching of the project vessels at the same time.
Nibulonivets-2 floating crane (P-38 project)
NIBULON’s 67th vessel was launched on December 21, 2017. Presently, the floating crane is moored to the pier of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The shipbuilders have installed the main switchboard and control panel; they are being connected, and then the vessel will receive power supply.
The shipbuilders finish installing and testing the systems. After that the specialists will start flushing the systems and will start preparing to test the mechanisms.
The shipbuilders finish insulation work and plating in the living accommodation. They are installing linoleum flooring and preparing the cabins for the installation of furniture.
Upon outfitting work, as well upon mooring and sea trials, the vessel will be put into operation.
The first non-self-propelled B5000 project vessel
The shipbuilders have formed the afterbody half-hull. They finish cleaning and painting buoyancy compartment, afterpeak and outer plating. The forebody half-hull has been formed. The specialists finish welding operations on it, and after that it will be joined to the afterbody half-hull. Upon painting, the hull will be prepared for launching. It is planned to launch it by mid-February. Thus, NIBULON’s fleet will receive a non-self-propelled vessel with a capacity of 5,000 tons at the beginning of the 2018 navigation season.
The second non-self-propelled B5000 project vessel
The shipbuilders are producing sections of the middle body and forebody at the assembly and fabrication workshop. The sections of the afterbody are prepared to be installed on the building berth. It is planned to launch the vessel this April.
The first and the second Т3500 project tugs
The specialists continue cutting and bending metal in the metal processing workshop. The assembly and fabrication workshop is producing assemblies and sections. The shipbuilders finish forming the first section of the first tug. It will be installed on the building berth, and the hull formation will be started. It is planned to put them into operation in August-September 2018.
NIBULON continues reconstructing its shipbuilding yard along with the construction of its cargo fleet. In particular, the company finishes reconstructing the slipway at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
