We would remind you that the new vessels will be a continuation (with design improvements) of the implemented 121 project vessels designed for operation on inland waterways of Ukraine.
The shipbuilders have cleaned and painted the outer plating of the hull of the first tug of the given project – Yurii Makarov, which was named after a famous Mykolaiv shipbuilder. The specialists have already tested accommodations for tightness and tested welded joints.
NIBULON’s shipbuilders are finishing mounting pre-insulation equipment inside the vessel; they are installing insulation in accommodations; the specialists are mounting pipelines of hull systems and mounting gears. The specialists have started to assemble the propulsion unit and produce a column to lift the pilot house.
The vessel will be launched soon, and the specialists will start outfitting works.
As for the second 121M project tug, the shipbuilders are finishing formation of the strength hull of the vessel. NIBULON’s shipbuilders are mounting foundations and preparing spaces for approval. They are producing and mounting items of the mechanical and fitter workshop and pre-insulation equipment.
As part of construction of the third tug the shipbuilders are assembling sections of the units, in particular No. 1-3 (parallel middle body) and No. 4 (afterbody).
All three tugs will be put into operation by July 1, 2017, before the new marketing year.
At the same time, the specialists are constructing hull of the seventh non-self-propelled B2000 project vessel on the berth.
The shipbuilders have already mounted sections of the units No. 1-2 on the berth; assembly of the third unit is being performed; the areas of the shipyard are producing sections for the fourth and the fifth units.
Thus, NIBULON plans to transport up to 4 million tons of cargo per year along the waterways of Ukraine with the help of cargo fleet.

An expanded meeting of the Presidium of Association of Shipbuilders of Ukraine “Ukrsudprom” will be held in Mykolaiv on March 23, 2017.
Members of the Association will visit NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard as part of the meeting, where they will be able to assess successes of the pioneer of agrarian shipbuilding.
