On the 20th of October “NIBULON” started construction of a newtransshipment terminal in native Mykolayiv region – in Nova Odesa of Novoodesa district, Mykolayiv region, at a cost of USD 150 million. Innovative patriotic project of the company, whose goal is the revival of the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers as waterways of Ukraine, is also developed in Mykolayiv region. Construction of the ninth (!!!) out of 17 elevator complexes planned by investment project is started. The company plans to complete the construction of the transshipment terminal in winter of this year. The complex in Nova Odesa will not be the only in the region, it is planned to construct at least two more terminals: in Buz’ke village of Voznesens’k district, in Shostakove village of Mykolayiv region (with a total storage capacity of more than 226 thousand tons). The company plans to employ more than a hundred building organizations for the construction – it means thousands of workers who will get work places. After putting the complex into operation, there will be 60 employees. The transshipment terminal for grains and oilseeds, which was built in 2003, is a business card of Mykolayiv region. In 2008 the company’s team was awarded with the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of architecture for the construction ofsuch an industrial giant. Since 2003 over 1000 vessels were shipped through the terminal, it amounts nearly 14,3 million tons of agricultural products. A business card of the facility in Nova Odesa town will become a new revolutionary technological solution, provided with the latest equipment. In particular, the complex will be equipped with three truck tippers (which will increase capacity by 1,5 times and will allow to accept three crops), 2 conveyor lines and 3 scalping machines in elevator tower, new dryersthat are made by «CIMBRIA UNIGRAIN A/S» (Denmark)will be installed, their capacity is 100 tons per hour and they are larger than average silos for wet grain (200 tons each); capacity of the equipment for loading will be increased (bucket conveyors, conveyors, loading machine) to 500 tons per hour. The berth, where the above-mentioned loading machine will be located, is the first step in the revival of passenger traffic in the region – and then throughout Ukraine. Thus passenger “Rockets” (as a reference to former navigational times) will soon become a reality, and Mykolayiv region will continue to return the title of the navigational region! Incidentally, as of today “NIBULON” continues transportation by water along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers. Only since the beginning of the navigation season of 2010, 700 thousand tons of grain were transported, while in 2009 freight transportation were less than 800 thousand tons. After the completion of implementation of investment project “NIBULON” plans to provide freight transportation up to 3 million tons, including freight transportation along the Southern Bug – 1 million tons. As a heart-warming tradition “NIBULON” helps people to impose order in the village, where the facility is constructed. In Nova Odesa there will be built and repaired road, street lighting, public transport stations, river berth for the passenger transportations. According to Mykola Kruglov, the Head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration “NIBULON” is a unique company, which employs people who understand that it is necessary to act systemically. They grow corn, construct elevators and fleet, promote domestic products on the world markets with the highest competition. There are no analogues of the company in CIS. Due to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, who started this investment project fleet of “NIBULON” will enable to revive navigation along the Dnipro River and the Southern Bug, unload the roads and improve the ecology in the region”. “NIBULON” earned the trust and support of the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, export credit fund EKF (Denmark), Export Credit Agency “Atradius” (the Netherlands), the leading European banks, the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine and other banks due to its good image. Patriotic innovative project includes 10 regions of Ukraine, has a great cross-sectoral and state importance, it is financially supported by the governments of other countries – thus deserves the national status! Everybody supports this opinion: from the national political establishment to foreign experts. The important point for “NIBULON”is ecological compatibility and safety during construction of the facilities. During the construction of the terminal the company complies with all environmental safety standards in order to preserve the unique nature of the region. Advanced cleaning equipment will be installedat the complex, the dust-trapping aspiration systemswill be installed. The equipment will meet all appropriate standards of environmental safety. It is planned to conduct dredging works to enable the passage of dry-cargo ships to the berth of the new terminal. It is expected that dredging will have a positive effect on the environment of the region. Firstly, the company will harness the shore, sluice coastal strip – it will protect the coastal area from washing out. Secondly, around the clock vessel voyage along the Southern Bug River will become possible due to consistency of the work, and particularly installation of signal buoys. And thirdly, it is also a joy to local fishermen because dredging works will increase the spawning areas, and it will increase the volume of fish catch. The residents of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka town (Zaporizhzhyaregion), Vitove village (Cherkasy region) have already felt such a positive effect. It is not the first month when residents of these settlements look at the sea caravans that are going to the branches for loading. On the 14th of October the first “NIBULON’s”non-self-propelled vessel was loaded in “Gradyz’k” branch (Poltava region) – it means that “fleet’s family” is extended! Soon Nova Odesa and Kremenchuk will join them; there the terminal construction was started on the 28th of September. By the way, “NIBULON” has already signed a contract with the Kherson Maritime School and the Odessa National Maritime Academy to serve the fleet, and it is ready to provide more than 300 sailors with work. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy is sure that these sailors will be proud to say: “I work in Ukrainian company “NIBULON” and sail on the vessel flying Ukrainian flag and transport grain along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers.
