With the commissioning of a universal transshipment terminal in Kremenchuk (Poltava region), the possibilities of simultaneous storage of grain in the Poltava region of “NIBULON” will compile a record for the region 500 thousand tons, and the volume of investments into the region now has reached UAH 700 million. This was stated by General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy during a ceremony of keel-laying of the construction of the complex in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. Storage capacity of agricultural products will be 75,6 thousand tons. The facility will be put into operation in 2 months and will be able to intake grain from the road and rail transport and ship – on the rail and water transport. Daily shipping capacity for each kind of transport will be 5 thousand tons. Thus, maximum diversification of logistic potential of the city and region will be ensured. Now preparation for the construction of the complex is actively carried out, bulkhead wallwith a length of 250 meters islaid, dredging works are planned. Thus, the berth will be able to take both freight and passenger vessels. O. Vadaturskyy noted that Kremenchuk is a good logistical junction, which plays a key role in the construction of agrarian logistics in the region. “Our elevator capacities in Poltava region are located in such a way that the zone of action of 60-80 km, we are uniformly placed in the Poltava region. This means that transportation by road transport will be optimized, and every farmer, every agricultural producer or holding company will be able to fully take advantage of our elevator capacities in order to ensure the receipt, allocation, storage of grain in our facilities”, – he said. “In this case, the producers of the region and district together with us will be the participants of foreign economic contracts and ensure the delivery of grain, for example, to market in Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, North Korea, or Japan at world prices and with maximum savings on transportation costs”- added O. Vadaturskyy. Although this facility will be the seventh complex of the company in Poltava region, the construction has caused a great interest and has received the maximum assistance the region authorities as well as the city authorities. Head of Poltava Regional Administration Olexandr Udovichenko and Mayor of Kremenchuk Mykola Glukhov who were present at the solemn ceremony of the beginning of construction of the terminal, emphasized undeniable importance of “NIBULON’s” activity in Poltava region, as well as the urgent necessity for recognition of large-scale investment program for the revival of Ukrainian rivers as navigable waterways on the national level. “You know that the President set a task to offer investment and innovative program, model. One year is not enough to fulfill everything, but it is the general line and it should be put into practice, and such projects demonstrate that it is real and can be done”, – O. Udovichenko. He added that close cooperation between the leader of the grain market and the region, which is a leader of grain production, should be at most fruitful. O. Udovichenko continued, that local authorities will do their best to strengthen the economic effect of the joint with the investor work. He drew attention to the fact that, due to “NIBULON” agricultural and transport infrastructure of world class has been developing during more than a year, closed cycleof production is built up, constant work places are created, provision of urban amenitiesis conducted, international standards of agricultural production are being introduced, social needs of the region are provided, local budget is filled. In his turn, N. Glukhov said: “We are very hopeful that investment attractiveness of the town will grow due to the construction of this enterprise, approval of the investment program at government level, which today is represented by Olexiy Opanasovych”. He clarified that the construction of technological, cost-effective and environmentally friendly enterprise in the largest industrial center of the region is of urgent need today. The mayor of the town added that, within the frames of cooperation with “NIBULON”, stadium will soon be renovated and equipped, landscaping of the park area will be conducted, thanks to the truck that was presented by the company the town will be able to fix the roads. O. Vadaturskyy added, in terms of technology the company is constantly improving, and all the branches of “NIBULON” meet the highest international standards, which are confirmed by the international environmental audit. He noted that successful completion of testing is a compulsory for cooperation with such institutions as the EBRD and receiving of their fundings. “NIBULON” fully demonstrated compliance with high international standards of production. “It is an everyday practice for us, when we construct and put into operation the enterprise, which has minimal effect on the environment”, – he said. O. Vadaturskyy said that the company is proud of not only the environmental performance of production, but also standards of social policy, which can confidently be named groundbreaking, especially in the agrarian sector of Ukraine., “Today “NIBULON” is proud of the level of social protection in the team and the policy of equal opportunities” – he continued. Reference: “NIBULON” is successfully implementing large-scale investment project for the revival of Ukrainian rivers as transportation water ways and facilities of modern grain complexes. Investment volume into the project reached USD 470 million. Within the frames of the project construction of 57 non-self-propelled and self- propelled vessels, including 14 sea and river tugs, 17 elevators, 10 of them are transshipment terminals along the Dnipro River, the Southern Bug and other rivers is involved. At the present time 24 non-self-propelled vessels and three tugs, three transshipment terminals (Cherkasy, Poltava and Zaporizhzhya regions) and five elevator complexes in Poltava region are constructed and successfully put into operation. In the near future a new grain terminal in Maryanivka village of Poltava region will be opened.
