Since July 2015, NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard has been constructing a completely new shipbuilding order.
Thus, as of the middle of November, NIBULON’s shipbuilders have started cleaning and painting the inner spaces of the vessel. They will soon start cleaning and painting the outer plating and ballast tanks.
At present the given works (including the strength hull’s formation) are the main ones. Upon completion of these works, the shipbuilders will start mounting electric equipment and preparing to launch the vessel.
The floating crane’s hull is formed by more than 95%. Recently, the shipbuilders have mounted the units No.13, 15 inside the hull (for the superstructure of the forebody and afterbody); the specialists are completing the assembly of the units No.11, 12 (for the superstructure of the forebody) as well as the unit No.16 (for the bulwark).
At the same time they are assembling the units No.14, 19, 20 (for the superstructure of the forebody).
The specialists from the assembly and welding area have started to produce a ramp, i.e. a sloping surface used for movement of a Terex Fuchs MHL 385 D grab mobile loader.
The company’s shipbuilders have already tested fuel tanks, fresh water tanks and oily water tanks. Twelve ballast tanks are next in turn to be tested.
The specialists are also mounting pre-insulation equipment (in particular, foundations for equipment, mechanical and fitter’s parts and others) and pipeline systems.
The non-self-propelled floating crane will be used together with a movable transshipment crane with a capacity of 5 thousand tons per day for loading and unloading operations in the roads and at the transshipment terminal, not involving third-parties. The vessel will also conduct auxiliary cargo operations.
The floating crane’s length will be 38.5 m; breadth – 12 m; depth at midship 3.45 m; draught 1.45 m. The vessel will have the class of the Shipping Register of Ukraine: KE * Ice1 B-R4-RSN2,0 Industrial vessel.
