The twelfth week of construction of NIBULON-5 and NIBULON-6 (POSS-115 project) is being continued at the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”.
Last week the shipbuilders started to manufacture hull systems on the first vessel. Thus, at present, there has been started assembly of pipes in the double-bottom compartments of the units No.20, 30, 40 and also in the engine room.
At the same time on the vessels there are being continued hull works, including formation of the most complicated hull structures – forebody and afterbody edge.
Last week the shipbuilders finished to form framing of the unit No.10 (afterbody edge) and started to install outer shell plates.
Installation of the outer shell plates on the unit No.50 (forebody edge) will be finished soon.
Manufacture of foundations of the rudder-propellers and the first batch of foundations of marine pumps and gears is being finished; at the same time the foundations are being prepared for transfer to the hull shop for further installation on the vessel. Besides, there has been started production of tank manholes, cofferdams, pipe couplings and flanges.
Hull works are being continued on the second vessel. At present there has been formed an upper part of the unit No.20 (sides and deck); side sections of the unit No.40 are being manufactured. At the plant “Leninska Kuznya” there has been processed almost 90 % of metal that is being delivered to the shipyard according to schedule.
