Schoolchildren, teachers and parents wore vyshyvanka (embroidered shirts). Mykolayiv school yards blossomed with yellow and blue colours. Schoolgirls plaited yellow and blue ribbons into their hair. Happy first formers held yellow and blue balloons into their hands. Everybody sang Ukraine’s anthem. Even the first formers sang with their hands on their hearts.
Mykolayiv city has never seen such a patriotic First Bell Holiday! NIBULON also visited its sponsored schools to congratulate young Ukrainians and to give presents.
“NIBULON’s standard” project which has been implemented since 2006 is well-known in many regions of Ukraine. Its goal is to ensure appropriate conditions to get education. The program covers tens of schools in 12 regions of Ukraine. This assistance is constant; thus, it brings deserved result – increase in the children’s scholarship level.
In particular, within the program NIBULON’s three sponsored schools in Mykolayiv city (No.57, No.51, No.24) receive modern qualitative multimedia equipment, cosy repaired classrooms, training aids and many others every year.
Thus, this educational year, thanks to NIBULON, Mykolayiv comprehensive secondary school No.51 has got a new interactive board for physics laboratory, a projector, and a laptop; Mykolayiv comprehensive secondary school No.57 – an interactive board, a projector, a laptop and a multipurpose device; Mykolayiv comprehensive secondary school No.24  – a plasma TV for the assembly hall.
Besides, the first formers of Mykolayiv comprehensive secondary school No.57 received from school leavers a special book “A Sparrow of Sky-blue Namyv District” published with the assistance of the company. The book contains working experience of the teaching staff (so called “school of creative life”) and a 20-year management activity of Tetyana Blakytna, a school’s director.
During a solemn school assembly, it was announced that the deputies of the city’s council voted to give Mykolayiv comprehensive secondary school No.57 the name of T.G. Shevchenko. The school was put into operation in 1992; Ukrainian language was the main one during teaching. Thus, the educational institution became a pioneer in this issue, taking into consideration that the educational process was in Russian language at all Mykolayiv schools.
Tens of schools in Ukraine received sports goods presented by the company annually.
