The specialists finish mounting the portal slewing crane LPS 180 (lifting capacity – 42 tons) on the building berth of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. It is mounted under the guidance and strict supervision of specialists from Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH (Germany) and Swift Service Ltd.
At the beginning of this week, the specialists have installed a boom (outreach – 35 m), the last major part of the high-capacity crane. In addition, the electrical equipment was commissioned and the main crane systems were launched. To date, the specialists finish rope reeving, installing a hook, as well as performing pre-commissioning works.
Immediately after the holidays, the foreign experts will conduct tests and training of the crane operators of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. They will also put it into operation. This high-capacity slewing crane will integrate the assembly and fabrication workshop and the building berth. It will significantly increase the capacity and efficiency of the shipyard’s cranes.
