The specialists from Construction Company Ltd. (Dnipro) have already finished assembling the headhouse frame (its height is 47 m). At present, the specialists are plating it. Metal constructions of upper and lower loading galleries will also be assembled soon.
Contractors have already started mounting metalware of waste bins and hoppers for shipment on road transport. The last two silos (18 and 19) become higher and higher. In total, the new complex provides for six silos with a capacity of 7.2 thousand tons each. It should be noted that this the first time the silos with such storage capacities are mounted at NIBULON’s facilities. The company installed mainly silos of 5 thousand tons at its complexes for receipt, storage and shipment of grain and oilseeds. The total weight of metalware of the silos is more than 403 tons.
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions during last week (snow, showers, wind) that cause the water level rise by 20-25 cm and prevent the specialists from constructing the cargo berth, the specialists from Ukrdobrobud Construction Company Ltd. work according to schedule. To date, they poured about 1 thousand m3 of concrete. In total, more than 2,545.5 m3 of concrete, 502.3 m3 of prefabricated reinforced concrete, and 365.5 tons of fitting will be used during the construction operations at the berth.
We would remind you that the berth reconstruction provides for its extension from 104 m to 222m. Thanks to this, the total length of waterside at the transshipment terminal will comprise almost 800 m, thereby enabling it to serve up to five vessels simultaneously. In turn, this will increase the speed of vessel maintenance and will improve the operational efficiency of the company’s fleet built at its own shipbuilding yard.
