At present NIBULON is the only company demonstrating in practice that Mykolayiv is a city of shipbuilders. In spite of three large shipyards in Mykolayiv, only NIBULON constructs vessels, reviving domestic shipbuilding and renovating Ukrainian fleet.
At the same time NIBULON shipyard is a young production structure that is developing and improving itself while performing production tasks. Certainly, it is not always possible to avoid mistakes; we need to search for right decisions in the process. Consequently, the team has been formed (and is being formed); each specialist is an experienced person and has his own ideas to solve occupational problems. This, on the one hand, enriches the company according to the principle “two heads are better than one” and, on the other hand, prompts to find common ideas to solve production issues. As everyone has the same goal: to develop the shipyard efficiently and to take into account the interests of the company and each employee.
NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy pays particular attention to the improvement of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard which plays a great role in implementing the agricultural company’s program.
Initiated by NIBULON’s General Director, on April 7, 2015, at the staff meeting it was decided to create a labour council to coordinate cooperation between workers and the shipyard’s management. The labour council is aimed at organizing cooperation and improving coordination between staff and management. The labour council and its members were approved by the General Director’s order dated April 8, 2015.
The labour council is headed by Olga Romadina, a deputy head of NIBULON’s personnel department. The council members are Kostyantyn Belousov, an arc welder (5th grade) on automatic and semiautomatic machines of the assembly and welding workshop; Denys Naydysh, a ship’s pipe erector (4th grade) of the assembly and pipeline workshop; Vitaliy Pekur, a turner (4th grade) of the mechanical and fitter workshop; Viktor Reznichenko, an arc and gas welder; Igor Sheremeta, a ship’s assembler (4th grade) of the ship repair department.
The members enjoy respect and authority among shipbuilders; thereby they have been chosen to represent the staff interests. Their main duty is to represent the staff interests to the management of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard and at the same time to dialog with a clear understanding of production interests.
In his turn, the director of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard Dmytro Gorbenko stressed that such cooperation will enable the shipyard’s management to find mutual understanding in order to solve topical issues more efficiently, taking into consideration the interests of all parties.
