The Grain Captain of Ukraine has made it to the finals of the Bobritsa Film Festival – an independent international event that brings together filmmakers, producers, and audiences from around the world. The festival aims to promote contemporary Ukrainian and global cinema while fostering an open, European-level cultural space within Ukrainian communities.
The film tells the story of Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy – a man who has become a symbol of resilience and strength in the face of pro-Russian pressure. His life and struggle serve as a metaphor for the entire nation. It is a story about the strength of spirit, faith in one’s country, and the fight for what is yours – a story about every one of us.
