When it comes to managing its land bank, NIBULON has its own distinctive “secret of success.” Which is building an effective team of land relations specialists, clearly structured across the company’s four agro-production clusters. Each land cluster faces its own specific challenges, which are being overcome through the team’s expertise and the distinctive experience of its managers.
Today, in our “Landholder’s Assistant” series, we would like to introduce you to one of our largest land clusters operating in the communities of southern Ukraine: the Prybuzhanivskyi cluster, led by Olexander Kolesnyk.
Olexander was born in a small village in the Voznesensk district, Mykolaiv region. He holds a higher education degree in land management and has also completed studies in law. He worked at the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre of the Mykolaiv region and as a land surveyor for the Prybuzhanivska village council, gaining firsthand knowledge of all the agricultural production challenges in the region. This experience enabled the young specialist, even during the war, one of the most challenging periods in the company’s history, to become the head of NIBULON’s land cluster in the southern region.Today, his expertise serves as an inspiration for young professionals, earns recognition from colleagues and leadership, is covered in the media, and is used as a benchmark by local authorities.
Thus, from the dream of a young specialist to work at the largest and most dynamic agroholding in his native Mykolaiv region, motivated by the personal energy and regional development experience of NIBULON’s founder, Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadaturskyy, emerges one of the strongest teams of land relations specialists, now led by Olexander himself.
Today, the Prybuzhanivskyi cluster, which includes the RE Lidiievske, Snihurivska, and Prybuzhanivska branches, manages over 19,000 hectares of arable land, offers the highest rental rates in the region along with additional payments to shareholders, and implements a wide range of socially responsible projects for local communities.
It is also a dedicated team of skilled professionals in finance, law, and land management, who continue their work under the toughest conditions, facing proximity to the combat zone and frequent blackouts.
Quick Q&A with Olexander Kolesnyk:
What are the three biggest changes in your work over the past few years?
First, it is the changing climate in our region. It has a major impact on agricultural production. As you know, our southern lands suffered from an abnormal drought last year, which led to poor harvests. For example, oilseed crops failed.
Second, the digitalization of all NIBULON’s agricultural processes, precision farming, and other modern cultivation methods, which help preserve ecosystems and improve soil fertility even under the challenging climatic conditions we are experiencing today.
Third, there has been a significant shift in how landowners view a company’s reputation when choosing a tenant or buyer for their land. Land shares are increasingly being inherited, and younger people tend to prefer selling inherited plots to responsible agricultural companies with substantial experience in the region. We are grateful for this high level of trust placed specifically in our team and our company.
Do you maintain an ongoing dialogue with local authorities, and are there any joint projects you would like to highlight?
We have exceptionally open and honest relationships with local authorities. We assist in resolving current issues, both at the request of community leaders where we operate and on our own initiative. For example, we maintain and level unpaved dirt roads where necessary, clear snow in winter, and provide other support to communities.
Since 2025, we have further expanded our collaboration with community elders through the “Best Community Leader of Ukraine ” competition organized by NIBULON. Together with the community leaders from our cluster who became winners of this competition, we are planning new beneficial improvement projects, which we will implement in their local districts over the course of this year.
Where should landowners in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions turn with questions about leasing or selling their land plots?
Specialists from our cluster provide professional consultation and assistance with the documentation for leasing or selling land shares to NIBULON AGRO. Their services are available not only to landowners in the regions mentioned but to anyone in the southern regions of Ukraine.
