This year, INCO FORUM 2021 has attracted more than 1,000 participants from Ukraine and 12 countries worldwide, in particular Austria, Bulgaria, Brazil, Armenia, the USA, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Germany, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. The main speakers were 35 experts from international organizations and associations, state institutions, united territorial communities, as well as a business which is a driving force behind changes and investments in the region. As a leading Ukrainian investor with 3 modern facilities in Zaporizhzhia region, NIBULON revealed its own achievements and vision to develop the region in compliance with the sustainable development principles. Firstly, the uniqueness and importance of NIBULON’s case was demonstrated by its large-scale investment program to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Buh as main transport arteries of the country. A unique logistics system (which NIBULON created itself) brings positive changes to the region, as the company’s investment projects implemented in Ternivka, Bilenke and Kamianka-Dniprovske have reduced traffic load on highways, removing the equivalent of more than 1.7 million tons of cargoes per year, which represent about 77 thousand truck trips annually. Please note that the river transshipment terminals in the region have considerably reduced the distance to transport agricultural commodities from 400 km to 80-100 km. The redirection of cargo flows to river saves UAH 800 million annually that the state would otherwise require to repair roads.By presenting the company’s position, Volodymyr Horishnyi, NIBULON’s regional director, informed the audience that the company had been investing in Zaporizhzhia region for 11 years, developing elevator logistics system, reducing traffic load on highways, and redirecting cargo flows to rivers.
