In 2003 due to implementation of the investment project in Mykolayiv city (in the territory of the special economic zone “Mykolayiv”) there was constructed NIBULON high-tech transshipment terminal for shipment of grain and oil crops, a facility which is unique not only in Ukraine but also in Europe. Since then the company is considered to be export-oriented where foreign economic activity takes one of first places. August 2003 is considered to be the beginning of NIBULON’s export activity, as on August 17 the first vessel was loaded at the terminal! It became possible due to the facility of direct shipment put into operation at the terminal. The firstborn was D.S. PIONEER vessel (Cyprus) with fodder barley (22 550, 895 tons) for export. It was the first batch of Ukrainian grain of 2003 shipped to Saudi Arabia. D.S. PIONEER vessel. IMO (The International Maritime Organization) – 7706328. Call sign – C4NR. Draught – 11 m. Speed – 18 knots. Since then NIBULON has loaded 1 347 vessels and shipped for export above 24.3 mln tons of grain. “It is pleasant to recollect our first success, this Cyprus vessel.
