Transport is one of the most important spheres of Ukrainian economy, which ensures the functioning of the whole national mechanism. Transportation by river transport has to become an integral and one of the defining parts of our country. Therefore, a great attention of “NIBULON” today is paid to an implementation of the effective strategy of the fleet development in Ukraine. Thus, Mykolayiv planner private enterprise “Torola Design Group” now completes creating projects of a unique tug POSS120 and new non-self-propelled vessels NBL91 by the technical task of “NIBULON”. After coordination with the Shipping Register of Ukraine it will be decided who will do these orders of “NIBULON”. The project of non-self-propelled vessels NBL91 is more perfect than the previous model – NBL-90. It has eased hatchway cover and smaller draft. Such vessels will transport grain along the Southern Bug River. Tugs of such a kind will be built in Ukraine for the first time. Each of the two engines of the vessel will have a maximum continuous power of 438 kW and through shaft will transmit the rotation on rotary screw of two full rudder-propellers. Despite the compact size (length is 18 m, width is 8 m), power vessels is 1000 hp, these options allow us to use tug in harbor waters, in the reservoirs, during passage of the locks, transportation of commissions to raids, independent non-self-propelled vessels voyage up to 4 thousand tons of guaranteed speed of 4 knots. The vessel is designed for a class for inland navigation vessels with the possibility of sailing to the Dnipro-Bug estuary to Ochakiv port, independence of vessel is about five days. Today there is practically no auxiliary fleet along the Dnipro River. So, these tugs will work on reservoirs and terminals of “NIBULON”, assisting in passage of non-self-propelled vessels, forming caravans, releasing ice layers etc. We want to remind you that currently construction of six tugs POSS115 on the order of “NIBULON” is being continued at the shipbuilding yard “Wadan Yards Okean” (Mykolayiv). On the 19th of October the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov participated in a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the second and the third tugs. Today system assembling and installation of pre-isolating saturation, preparation of hulls for transporting to the dock and other works are continued in yard’s workshops. “NIBULON” is grateful for the invaluable contribution of the staff and management of the shipbuilding yard “Wadan Yards Okean” in the revival of the domestic fleet. Despite the difficult situation of the Ukrainian fleet, “NIBULON” proves: the prospects of the development of the shipping industry in our country are rather optimistic. According to General Director, Hero of Ukraine O. Vadaturskyy as long as “NIBULON” continues working normally, it could provide Mykolayiv shipbuilding giant “Wadan Yards Okean” with work for another 2 years. But, unfortunately, if the situation on the grain market of Ukraine does not change soon, the company will have to revise its investment plans as to the construction of terminals, vessels and elevators. Only understanding and attention to the problems of national investor on the part of the government can solve these issues and allow making implementation of the nationwide program possible and thus stimulating the development of state economy.
