At night, drivers of cars with EU number plates blocked the traffic on the way that leads to NIBULON’s transshipment terminal for shipment of grain and oilseeds and NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard in Mykolaiv.
In the morning, NIBULON’s General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy met with the participants of the action. The drivers were surprised and grateful for the meeting with General Director. According to them, no one has come to them for the whole night. NIBULON’s General Director explained to the protesters that NIBULON stays out of politics and has nothing to do with the adoption of laws No. 8487 and 8488 on the legalization of imported cars with EU number plates into Ukraine and rules of customs clearance of such cars. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy believes that all issues need to be resolved exclusively within the legislation. Having taken an opportunity, people began to share their feelings about raising gas prices in Ukraine, employment, wages and other issues of life in Mykolaiv.
During a short but constructive and friendly conversation, we came to an understanding with the participants of the action. The access roads to the company’s facilities were unblocked at 09:30 a.m., and the traffic was renewed. NIBULON’s facilities work in a normal mode.
