Before negotiations, General Director held an excursion at NIBULON’s facilities in Mykolaiv. The delegation visited newly built workshops equipped with up-to-date devices from the leading manufacturers of the world, familiarized themselves with the shipbuilding program progress, as well as with the facility reconstruction, which will bring it to a new higher level and make it the most modern shipyard in Ukraine.
After that, Mr. Lee Yang-goo visited the transshipment terminal and its newly built elevator complex, which will be solemnly opened on May 23, 2018 during the international exhibitions at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy invited the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to visit this event.
“I am very impressed with the work of the company and its spirit. Before that, I wasn’t acquainted with Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, and I often asked many people “What is he like?”. They said that he is a pioneer in everything. Therefore, I looked forward to having this meeting, familiarizing with NIBULON. And I am not disappointed, but impressed even more than expected”, said Mr. Lee Yang-goo.
He also noted that many Korean traders, large companies were interested in NIBULON and hoped to establish cooperation with the company. NIBULON’s General Director noted that the company was always open to negotiations and new partnership,
“We can cooperate in the field of trade, logistics, energy efficiency, shipbuilding, etc. Today we carry out the large-scale reconstruction of our own shipbuilding and repair yard, so we can receive from Korea different shipbuilding equipment for workshops, metal processing equipment, welding equipment, carriages, cranes, etc. In particular, we cooperate with many Japanese companies (e.g. Mitsubishi). Most of our tugs are equipped with engines of this particular manufacturer. So, we are ready to negotiate and accept the proposal to expand cooperation”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
NIBULON constantly increases the volume of trade and purchase activities and exports. One of the most important components of this work is the improvement of the company’s logistics system. To this end, since 2009 the company has been implementing a unique investment program for the Ukrainian economy for the development and creation of a modern grain market infrastructure, construction of a cargo fleet.
NIBULON has been a leader in Ukrainian grain market for more than 10 years, supplying agricultural products to more than 64 countries (from Japan to Mexico). Egypt, Spain, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are traditionally the leaders among importing countries. NIBULON also cooperates with Korean companies. In particular, over three years NIBULON has shipped about 1 million tons of products to Korea and Korean companies for shipments to other Asian countries.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Lee Yang-goo assured that he would personally help to establish a relationship between the leader of the Ukrainian grain market and Korean companies and invited Oleksiy Vadaturskyy to the Embassy to meet with representatives of major Korean companies, as well as to support cooperation between countries in such a way.
