On June 3, 2013, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with foreign ambassadors and members of the International Trade Club in the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (Kyiv city). Andriy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON’s deputy general director on trade, also participated in the meeting. During the meeting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara described priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy in the economic sector having stressed that Ukraine would use all opportunities to develop mutually beneficial relations with both traditional partners (the European Union, the Russian Federation, the USA, China) and with countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America. The participants were informed about advantages and new opportunities the representatives of the European and Ukrainian business will have after signing a European Union Association Agreement in November 2013, including profound free trade area. The members of the International Trade Club are expected to support signing of the agreement. Andriy Vadaturskyy familiarized those present with the rates of implementation of NIBULON’s investment program to revive navigation along native rivers. He mentioned that within this program the company had already built 22 high tech elevator complexes (the amount of own elevator capacities is 1.7 mln tons) and created its own fleet (28 non-self-propelled vessels and 7 tugs). The company proves operability of domestic waterways. In 2012 navigation season NIBULON transported (including for export) 1.3 mln tons of agricultural products. He accentuated that the company was the only participant of the UN World Food Program. NIBULON also is one of largest Ukrainian agricultural producers, investors (USD 1.46 bln of investment for 21 years of its activities), exporters (3.5 mln tons were exported in 2011/12 MY – 15% of the total domestic export), the company leases above 81 thousand ha of land. This marketing year the company has already exported 2.9 mln tons and is going to reach the figure of 3.2 mln tons. NIBULON’s export activities cover 64 countries of the world, from Mexico to Japan. NIBULON is a pioneer in opening of new product markets for domestic products. In particular, due to the company there was opened a market to supply corn to Egypt and to other countries. Consequently, corn became one of the most profitable crops in Ukraine. In 2011/12 MY for the first time NIBULON delivered corn to Japan in compliance with the U.S. quality standards.
