During Ukraine’s integration in the European Union, companies will face high requirements for quality and safety of food products in the European market.
At present the food safety management system HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), according to IS0 22000:2005 standard, is acknowledged worldwide as well as in the EU as the most efficient method to ensure food product safety.
In support of high standards of work, NIBULON, recognized in Europe and worldwide, has implemented and confirmed (July 2, 2014) the conformity of food safety management system of the main grain terminal in Mykolayiv city for compliance with the requirements of the international standard IS0 22000:2005 “Food safety management system. Requirements for any organization in the food chain”.
It should be noted that the system НАССР is a modern control method that systematically determines specific risks and control measures to ensure food product safety.
IS0 22000:2005 standard is based on compliance with all legislative and normative requirements for production; on accurate analysis of production processes in order to determine possible dangers in food products; on taking of control measures to prevent, remove or reduce these dangers to the acceptable level.
НАССР system at the transshipment terminal for shipment of grain and oil crops is implemented at all stages of grain treatment, namely:
– grain taking by motor, rail or water transport;
–grain processing if required (cleaning, drying);
– grain storage;
– grain shipment on water or motor transport.
Efficiency of the system implementation in NIBULON was confirmed by the international body to assess compliance with the requirements of IS0 22000:2005 standard, an independent expert and certification company “SGS”.
From June 4 to 5, 2014, “SGS Ukraine” representatives performed a primary auditing, and on July 1-2, 2014 – a certification audit of HACCP operation at NIBULON’s transshipment terminal according to the requirements of the international standard IS0 22000:2005.
A positive resolution of auditors was the logical finishing of implementation and beginning of efficient operation of НАССР system. The resolution contained a recommendation as to providing the company with the international certificate of compliance with the requirements of IS0 22000:2005 standard. And on August 4, 2014, NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city received the certificate!
