The floating crane of NB 603 project is being constructed successfully in Constanta city (Romania). As of November 26, 2012 more than 60 shipbuilders work in two shifts round-the-clock at SNC Shipyard. The status of construction is for your attention. Metal cutting: Metal for the sections No10, 20, 40, 70 was cut to the full extent. Metal cutting for the sections No30, 80 is started; the sections No50, 60, 90 are next in turn. 563.12 tons of metal have been cut, that is 67.2% of total amount; the latter comprises 838 tons. Subassembly: The shipyard workers complete to make assembly units for the port section No20; assembly units are being made for the starboard section No40 and port section No40. Assembly units for the port section No10 are started to be made. Subassembly has been performed by 7.6% that is 62.5 tons. Pre-assembly: Works on assembly of the port section No20 which consists of three subsections (side, bottom, and deck) are being continued. There have already been completed assembly and welding of the side subsection, works on fabrication of the bottom subsection are being completed. Next week there will be started assembly of the port section No20. At present the pre-assembly amount is 62.5 tons. Besides, in the near future there will be started cutting and manufacturing of ship pipes and hull systems of the floating crane. We would remind you that the construction completion according to the contractual obligations will be on February 28, 2013. *** On December 6, 2012 in Constanta city there will be held a solemn keel-laying of the floating crane at SNC Shipyard.
