The guests personally met with NIBULON’s General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and discussed a number of issues connected with the prospects in the Ukrainian economy development, the improvement of investment climate and further cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S. The delegation became familiar with NIBULON’s activities and its investment project to revive navigation along the Dnipro and others rivers in Ukraine.
“Today NIBULON is a leader in cargo transportation along the Dnipro. Similarly to the Mississippi River which is an important transport artery, NIBULON is reviving the Dnipro, re-opening it as transport waterway in Ukraine”.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy thinks the U.S. experience in making the Mississippi a transport artery of national importance is an example to be followed to develop navigation. Consequently, in spring 2015, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and NIBULON’s specialists visited the USA in order to familiarize themselves with the company that is experienced in organizing cargo transportation on inland waterways.
NIBULON was the first to implement American standards and corn processing techniques in Ukraine”, adds Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. “The Ukrainian corn was in low-demand on the world grain market till 2003. We have researched why our corn was in low-demand, as opposed to products produced by the USA and Argentina that were supplied to Egypt and Middle East countries. Our specialists have undergone training in Egyptian laboratories; we have purchased laboratory equipment produced by the USA and leading world companies, and implemented American standards and techniques. In this way NIBULON opened Egyptian markets for Ukraine and was the first to ship corn to this country. Today Ukraine cultivates about 30 million tons of corn, and NIBULON has been maintaining leading positions in corn exports since 2003.”
“I would call it an example of a successful business development in Ukraine”, said Daniel Nibarger.  “I have been very impressed by the facilities that we have seen today.
Personally, I have seen very many of them. And the lab of NIBULON is definitely top notch. I think NIBULON is not only important for the city of Mykolayiv, but the region of Mykolayiv as well as the country of Ukraine in general. I think NIBULON can play a very important role in the development of dialogue between the U.S. and Ukraine. We have already discussed some options for different draft laws that can be of interest to both sides.”
The U.S. diplomats have noted great potential of the Ukrainian economy and agrarian sector in whole. According to Daniel Nibarger, modernization is among important tasks facing the agricultural sector. “NIBULON is a very good example that would be very helpful in it”, he stressed.
