Considering that this medical institution has become NIBULON’s branch during the fight with COVID-19, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON’s General Director, met with the guests after the excursion. The doctors inspected NIBULON’s shipbuilding and repair yard, became acquainted with its history and the specifics of its operations. The guests observed how the shipbuilders clean, prime, and process metal, produce parts, as well as assemble sections. The medical workers were particularly impressed by NIBULON’s fleet of  non-self-propelled vessels, tugs, floating cranes, and the NIBULON MAX at the shipyard’s berth. The captain invited the guests on board to observe inside the 140-m vessel.“It is like a real spacecraft with a huge wheelhouse. We did not even expect to see such a large vessel. Everything is well thought out. There is a social room, a gym, a conference room, comfortable crew cabins, and others.  Everything is extremely clean, especially the engine room. It is a dream to work here”, the guests shared their impressions. The doctors became familiar with the company’s transshipment terminal which is capable of storing up to 173 thousand tons of grain. The guests learned about all the processes at the terminal, from the truck registration point to the shipment of agricultural commodities for export. The visitors were impressed by the production and technological laboratory at the facility. “The laboratory is incredible. The device showed an accurate and detailed result within several seconds. There are no such laboratories in the medical sector. The laboratory demonstrates a high level when measuring grain and the products of its processing”, mentions Svitlana Fedorova, an acting director of the center. By the way, NIBULON efficiently solved the problem of diagnosing the disease at the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic by providing the required equipment free of charge to the Mykolaiv Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. It is able to conduct up to 400 analyses per day for the presence/absence of coronavirus by using the PCR method.Oleksiy Vadaturskyy thanked the doctors for fighting COVID-19, saving people’s lives, and finding time to attend NIBULON’s facilities, “Having familiarized yourselves with NIBULON and its production standards, as well as having observed the facilities, you can now understand my attitude towards conditions in hospitals. Thus, I decided to renovate the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Infectious Disease Treatment. We have turned this facility into a modern medical town in 30 days. The company has solved logistics issues. NIBULON repaired a disinfection chamber, laundry and drying rooms. The company purchased new high-capacity equipment, arranged the laundry transportation in compliance with the rules. We did it in a week. This is one of the most important measures to avoid the spreading of coronavirus. We have done a large amount of work for our people, our city, and region. This is moral support for everyone, in particular for our team. In case someone is infected, the person will be treated by experienced doctors using high quality equipment.On behalf of the entire team of the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Infectious Disease Treatment, Svitlana Fedorova thanked NIBULON for its assistance and mentioned, “We had a complicated situation.
