NIBULON continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Having assisted the Mykolaiv Regional
Center of Infectious Disease Treatment and Mykolaiv City Children’s Hospital, the company started to implement
another charitable project so that all Mykolaiv citizens and people from the region, adults and children can receive
efficient and high-quality medical care.
As the COVID-19 pandemic worsened, Mykolaiv City Hospital No.1 had started to treat
COVID-19 patients. It required assistance in creating proper conditions to treat such patients. Having analyzed
the situation, NIBULON decided to divide this project into two parallel stages.
The first stage included
the repair and equipment of the therapeutics, rheumatology and cardiology departments. The company finished this stage in December 2020. Today the company has completed the second stage. It created a modern department to treat COVID-19
patients with pathological conditions and/or chronic diseases.
As part of the project, the company:
– created 148 oxygen supply points in the wards and installed 1,728 m of oxygen
lines;
– installed two modern gasifiers produced in France to store 4 thousand cubic meters of
liquefied oxygen, which replace 400 normal oxygen tanks;
– arranged a remote call system to communicate with medical staff; the company installed
call buttons in the wards and toilets. The members of the medical staff have special watches to receive the call
signals;
– repaired the therapeutics, rheumatology, cardiology departments, and installed TV-sets.
The company created individual toilets with all conveniences;
– completely reconstructed the old resuscitation department on a turnkey basis, repaired
its roof, conducted all the repair and construction works, installed a lightning conductor, replaced a pipeline and
drainage system, installed a high-capacity ventilation system, replaced electrical networks and a heating system,
created and equipped toilet fittings, and others;
– arranged visual observation by using cameras to ensure patient safety in the
resuscitation department wards;
– arranged communication among medical staff by using radio sets.

The company thanks Mykolaiv Bakery Products Integrated Plant PJSC (director – Ha-Young Choi), a Ukrainian
representative of POSCO International, for providing the hospital with high-quality medical equipment (South
Korea).
We would remind you that earlier the company solved the problem of diagnosing COVID-19 in
Mykolaiv region. In March 2020, NIBULON gave its own equipment to Mykolaiv Regional Laboratory Center of the
Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and organized an opportunity to conduct 400 analyses per day for the
presence/absence of coronavirus by using the PCR method. At present the laboratory has conducted 87,206 tests (70%
of the total quantity) using the company’s equipment.
NIBULON has also implemented its large-scale projects in the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Infectious Disease
Treatment and Mykolaiv City Children’s Hospital No.2. The company reconstructed a basic medical
institution in Mykolaiv region to fight coronavirus. NIBULON has turned this medical institution into a modern
medical town in 30 days. The company renewed buildings, repaired roads, installed ramps, cleaned the site, and
renovated lighting. NIBULON completely replaced equipment for disinfection, washing, drying, ironing and
transportation of contaminated laundry. We arranged an additional space to separate clean and contaminated areas.
The company completely re-equipped a canteen unit. NIBULON replaced the catering equipment, purchased 300 sets of
plates and dishes. The company has completely reconstructed the fifth infectious disease department of the Mykolaiv
Regional Center of Infectious Disease Treatment on a turnkey basis. It replaced a pipeline, drainage system,
ventilation system, and electrical networks. The company installed a modern firefighting and general alarm system.
In addition, the department was equipped with all the required domestic and medical furniture, equipment, as well as
bath and toilet fittings. The company installed modern multifunctional beds, TV-sets, and air conditioners in the
wards, and others.
Installing an oxygen network in the hospital’s departments was the most important
thing to save lives. The company installed more than 100 oxygen supply points in the medical institution, gave and
adjusted 21 artificial lung ventilation machines.
NIBULON completely repaired the medical gas supply system and installed 38 new oxygen
supply points in Mykolaiv Children’s Hospital No.2. In order to ensure the reliable operation of the oxygen
network, the company installed 2 cryo cylinders. NIBULON installed modern TV sets in the wards of all 5
departments.
NIBULON arranged an up-to-date communication system among patients and doctors by using
special call buttons, screens and watches in both hospitals. The multimode portable radio sets ensure constant
communication among medical staff.
NIBULON’s standard project was also implemented in Mykolaiv City Hospital No.1.
Medical staff received deserved working conditions and can provide high-quality treatment to Ukrainians.
Thus, the company initiated and implemented 4 large-scale projects in 12 months to
efficiently fight the pandemic in Mykolaiv medical institutions. NIBULON has invested about UAH 100 million in the medical
center since the coronavirus pandemic started.
