This month qualified specialists from Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH and Swift Service Ltd., an official representative of the German manufacturer in Ukraine, have trained crane operators, mechanics and electricians to work with the new high-capacity crane with a lifting capacity of 42 tons. 
The training course for crane operators consisted of an initial orientation course, where all the functions and capabilities of the crane were explained, a detailed overview of the work of all systems, sensors, control panels, etc. The shipyard’s specialists also had practical training under strict supervision of the foreign specialists. In particular, three experienced crane operators of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard have been trained.
The shipyard’s employees, who will serve the crane and ensure its operation, were familiarized in detail with all components, the principles of operation of all systems, sensors, devices, etc. In addition, the representatives of the foreign manufacturer provided recommendations for the frequency of technical inspections, lubrication, cleaning, checking the oil level.
We would remind you that the LPS180 will integrate the new assembly and fabrication workshop and the building berth. It has the following technical characteristics: jib length – 35 m, min radius – 9 m, hoisting/lowering max. – 90 m/min, slewing max. – 1.60 rpm, luffing  max. – 83 m/min.
