At present the specialists are preparing ship’s machinery and engines for further mounting. Mitsubishi main diesel engines of 940 kW each will be responsible for the vessel’s speed.
All necessary equipment has been delivered to the shipyard; its depreservation is being continued. Painting of foundations for equipment is being continued on the tug. In order to watch the process of equipment installation, the contractors’ representatives are being waited for.
The specialists of the painting workshop continue to clean and paint outer shell plating; double bottom tanks tested earlier are being prepared for cleaning and painting. Besides, approval of spaces and testing for tightness are being finished.
Foundations of two rudder-propellers are being prepared for installation on the tug. The latter will be responsible for maneuverability of the vessel; turning angle of each rudder-propeller is 360 degrees.
The specialists continue to manufacture and install guardrails and deck comings on the vessel and to prepare for mounting of wheelhouse lifting system.
We would remind you that the lifting wheelhouse fixing in up position with the lifting height of 4.2 m will ensure better visibility when towing.
The specialists of the assembly-welding workshop are finishing works on straightening of deck, mounting of deck welded anchor and mooring equipment (bollards, bitts, hawses). Towing and mooring operations on the vessel will be ensured by two bow and one aft anchor and mooring single windlasses with electric drive and six hand winches, and also aft towing winch with electric drive, and aft towing hook with remote recoil, and Pool–TW anchors.
On the berth position of the shipyard, where the unit No.20 of NIBULON-6 tug is located, there has been installed the bottom section of the unit No.30. They will be jointed soon. At the workshop there has been started formation of the section No.60, an afterbody of the vessel’s superstructure.
We would remind you that the company builds vessels at its own shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON” which main assets and property complex were purchased in 2012. At present the shipyard’s facilities are being reconstructed and repaired. The goal is to ensure repair, technical inspection of the company’s vessels with the length of up to 150 m and also to build vessels with the displacement of up to 5 thousand tons for further logistics development.
