In 2015/16 MY, NIBULON Group (hereinafter referred to as NIBULON) reached the best export figure 4,67 million tons for the last 6 years. The dynamics of growth comprised almost 14 % or 572 thousand tons as compared to 2014/15 MY. The achieved result became the second one in NIBULON’s history.
Thus, NIBULON confidently takes the first place in rating of Ukrainian exporters. Every tenth ton of exported Ukrainian grain belongs to NIBULON.

According to the results of 2015, NIBULON’s export shipment result became the best in NIBULON’s history once more (4,46 million tons). It is by 17,5 % or 665,9 thousand tons more than for the same period in 2014.

The main NIBULON’s crops for export in 2015/16 MY are traditionally corn (2,03 million tons for export), wheat (1,85 million tons), and barley (about 535 thousand tons).
Last marketing year NIBULON’s exports covered 29 countries; Egypt (share of exports – 18,6 %), Saudi Arabia (10 %), and Spain (9,7 %) became the largest consumers among them.
It should be noted that NIBULON resumed shipment of grain to the Indonesian market that comprised 6 % from the total export activity.
Last marketing season the company involved 122 cargo foreign going vessels to perform export contracts. An average shipload comprised almost 35 thousand tons. The maximum shipload comprised 76 thousand tons.
We have to focus on the fact that we essentially changed the structure of grain suppliers to NIBULON Group in 2015/16 MY.
Ukrainian economy of the recent years has been characterized by considerable difficulties with value-added-tax (VAT) refund for grain export. In 2014-2015 it was complicated by the fluctuations of the national currency. Moreover, on January 1, 2016 the amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on VAT refunds came into effect. They were adopted by the government for the benefits of agricultural producers.
Taking into account the unstable social and economic situation in the country and negative experience of VAT refund for grain export that leads to uncertainty of grain exporters, NIBULON’s management attempts to minimize failure on VAT refund. The company’s management suggests the NIBULON’s partners to become exporters on their own. It would influence the company’s financial situation and would divide the risks of failure among the partners.
In such an experimental way we worked in the second half of 2015/16 MY. Thus, both our company and our partners benefited. The agricultural producers secured themselves against currency changes which is very important under circumstances of fluctuations of the national currency. Our company minimized its risks of possible VAT refund.
Taking into account the company’s long-term experience in export activity, VAT refunds, and agricultural producers’ interest in independent realization of export operations, NIBULON gave many-sided assistance to the interested companies.
For comparison: in 2014/2015MY NIBULON received 962 thousand tons of grain from 92 Ukrainian exporter residents (with payments in freely convertible currency); almost 63 % of them were agricultural producers. During the past marketing year the shipments of grain increased up to 1 663 thousand tons. The number of enterprises who supply commodities comprised 144, almost 63 % out of them were agricultural producers.
Thus, quantity of Ukrainian suppliers who decided to export commodities has increased for the last two marketing years by 52. The volumes of delivery have increased almost two times as much.
The tendency of exporters’ number increase has become typical for the entire country for the last seasons.

Despite the essential activation of agricultural producers, including NIBULON’s support, we keep on buying large volumes of grain from domestic market of Ukraine paying in the national currency. More than 88 % of agreements were signed with agricultural producers during 2015/16 marketing year.
The number of agricultural producers NIBULON cooperates with has not decreased for the last three seasons and it is stable. It is evidence to the agrarians’ trust and confidence in NIBULON’s principles of business, i.e. transparency and openness for everyone. 
Taking into account stable VAT refund, since 1 July we have worked normally and the calculations of agricultural commodity purchase are performed in the national currency. Thus, since the beginning of current MY more than 90 % of our partners are agricultural producers. Due to stabilization of the national currency they work in habitual rhythm and are satisfied with our cooperation.
