The excursion at the transshipment terminal started with the transport registration point, where the guests observed grain reception and sampling to measure product quality. The production and technological laboratories, where NIBULON’s specialists showed the work of modern imported equipment, were the next point of the excursion. The visitors were really impressed by huge domes-grain storages, as well as by green areas of the terminal; and there are plenty of them in the territory.
“The fact that today’s meeting gave us an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the work of the large Mykolaiv company is very valuable. You have such a huge number of export contracts with many countries of the world; it is testimony to great prospects. The state-of-the-art laboratories caught my attention. For the first time in my life I saw how pesticides, radionuclides etc. are measured in food products. I am impressed with the level. And you take care of your employees: recreation zones, flowers and perfect cleanliness at the facilities”, said Oksana Dzhuraieva, a teacher of geography.
After that, the teachers visited NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. Director of the shipyard Dmytro Gorbenko held an excursion there. The teachers had an opportunity to see all main stages of vessels construction, from cutting parts and up to final preparations for launching. They also saw the company’s fleet, in particular passenger vessels and Bashtanskyi tug.
The teachers also noted the cleanliness and exemplary order in the territory of the shipbuilding and repair yard and transshipment terminal. They are also impressed with the load of the facility, where reconstruction and building works are taking place. Tetiana Tsurkina, a teacher of physics, doesn’t hide the admiration,
“It is nice that our shipbuilding city has a shipbuilding plant of such a scale. This excursion is useful for us, teachers. In my opinion it will be even more useful for our pupils who have never seen such facilities. Tomorrow they will choose a future profession, and it is very important that they know that there is a prospect for employment in our city. I would like also to thank you for passenger transportation. Getting to the Kinburn Spit, where we rest every summer, is a very big deal. Now you have made it possible for people to quickly and comfortably reach the destination. And river excursions are very interesting, because you don’t have an opportunity to have a trip on such hydrofoils every day. We sincerely thank you for such an informative and interesting visit”.
