Mykolayiv, the 16th of August 2010 Almost thousand of trucks with grain queue in Mykolayiv outside transshipment terminal of “NIBULON”. According to the drivers and producers that brought grain it is the only terminal in the region which receives grain from producers, moreover at market prices. According to the Association of Ukrainian Grain Farmers, terminals at Illitchivs’k, Kherson and Odesa are no longer buying grains. Terminal of “NIBULON” in Mykolayiv is the only place in the region that receives grain without curbs and according to world pricing environment. The Association of Ukrainian Grain Farmers explained that merchants with a hope to sell grain went to Odesa, Illitchivs’k and Kherson but had to turn to Mykolayiv. Nearly 1000 trucks with grain have been waiting outside terminal of “NIBULON” in Mykolayiv since last weekend. “Reception centre in Kherson is closed. We had to come here, because it is the only elevator that is not closed and still continues to buy”, – said Oleksandr, a driver from an enterprise in Kherson region. “Grain will perish in the conditions of such a heat, if only we could sell it”, – adds his colleague Petro from Odesa region. People, who brought grain to Mykolayiv, are most concerned that at any moment the official prohibition from Kyiv or actions of the inspectors might prevent to sell grain. Earlier, the first Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev criticized the policy of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine that has not begun purchase of fresh grain crop yet. As of the 14th of August the Agrarian Fund realized from its own stocks only grain of previous years, not suitable for baking bread.
