NIBULON is implementing its large-scale investment program. Thanks to loan agreements signed with the European Investment Bank, International Finance Corporation and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, since last year the company has been reconstructing the capacities of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, has been constructing a complex for shipment of grain and oilseeds as part of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv; the company also constructs its fleet and puts its new transshipment terminals into operation. In parallel with the implementation of the next stage of the investment program worth USD 257 million, our company is renewing its agricultural machinery. Recently, all news agencies have published information that NIBULON invested USD 6 million in renewal of its agricultural machinery.
The event that goes beyond the ordinary purchase or replacement of agricultural machinery has taken place these days. A meeting of the management of NIBULON and FENDT was held in a warm friendly atmosphere in Marktoberdorf. The main peculiarity of this meeting is that two companies have been successfully cooperating for 20 years. In 1998, for the first time in Ukraine, a loan under support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the IBRD) was granted directly to NIBULON. The company directed the money to the company development, in particular for purchase state-of-the-art German equipment from FENDT. It was the best agricultural machinery; the fact that these tractors have been working successfully so far, having operated up to 35 thousand tons, testifies to that. This was one of the largest batches in the world delivered directly to the agricultural producer. After the successful completion of the program, the IBRD honoured NIBULON’s work with a diploma for the most successful activities within the project. At one of the exhibitions in Hannover, NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy was recognized as the head of the largest final consumer of FENDT tractors.
Employees of FENDT Oleksandr Zeitler and Martin Hubert, who worked at the plant 20 years ago, as well as former employees of the company, in particular Konrad Schaber who retired from the company but decided to show his respect for Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, came to the meeting with NIBULON’s General Director. Many recalled how in 1998 NIBULON opened the famous FENDT Company and its equipment to the Ukrainian agrarian sector. The meeting lacked the then head of AGROFABER Dietrich Günther (without him the agreement signed 1998 year would not have been successful), and he certainly has something to remember about this cooperation between NIBULON and FENDT.
The specialists of FENDT conducted an excursion for NIBULON’s General Director with pleasure. They showed the reconstructed capacities of the state-of-the-art plant, having demonstrated the entire technological line, starting from preparation of metal to finished products.
“It’s really very interesting. I am impressed with the scale of the plant reconstruction over the past 20 years. While familiarizing myself with the history and activities of this plant, I have likened it to the activities of our company in those years. FENDT had many obstacles on its way, and it consistently overcame all of them. NIBULON also had a lot of obstacles, but there wasn’t a single defeat. We have developed the company and have maintained the leading positions in the market”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
NIBULON is a unique agricultural company that is engaged in the revival of shipping and it constructs its fleet at its own shipbuilding and repair yard. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy admitted that he was interested in the way logistics at FENDT is organized,
“Certain elements of the logistics organization will be introduced at our shipbuilding and repair yard. I am impressed that people work at such a big plant in all workshops in stable climatic conditions, exactly what our reconstruction is aimed at. This is not only the issue of ensuring high quality products, but also creating better conditions for the company´s employees. These and other things I’ve seen today will affect the development of our shipbuilding yard”, he said.
It was a meeting of real friends who have discussed the ways to improve a long-term successful cooperation. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy held successful negotiations with the management of FENDT (AGCO) headed by CEO Peter-Josef Paffen and management of the company’s representative office in Ukraine. During the negotiations, they analyzed the condition of FENDT tractors (NIBULON has more than 45 units), operation of new Fendt-936 tractors the company purchased in 2015, and a contract for a new batch of FENDT 1038 tractors. In addition, business partners outlined plans to expand NIBULON’s fleet of agricultural machinery by purchasing state-of-the-art machinery from FENDT.
“Friends are friends. Trust is trust. As a manager of the company I am impressed with the production organization at FENDT plant. Therefore, I have many plans to expand the fleet of our company by purchasing these modern tractors”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy took part in the test drive of new Fendt 1038 tractors and admitted that he was very satisfied with new machinery.
“We perceive Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and NIBULON as our long-term partner, an old friend, our colleague promoting advanced technologies in Ukraine’s agriculture, and we plan to continue our long-term strategic cooperation with NIBULON”, shared his impressions Peter-Josef Paffen. “Any experience in the forefront, in fields, especially in conditions of very intensive operation of machinery – exactly what we have in Ukraine in NIBULON’s fields – is very valuable for the development and improvement of our own products. Therefore, feedback and information we receive from our partner in the field will help us to be the best and introduce new technologies. NIBULON is one of our largest and most respected global partners. We have many themes for joint development, because FENDT can offer almost a full series of agricultural machinery. NIBULON effectively works at all stages of agricultural production, and FENDT machinery will help to optimize these processes and to achieve the greatest efficiency of agricultural production. This is exactly what NIBULON needs and what Ukraine needs!”
Heads of both companies communicated like true friends, who are united by super-high ideas: improvement of machine-building industry in Germany and production of the best models of agricultural machinery are on the one hand, and introduction of modern technologies in the agrarian sector and the development of other sectors of the Ukrainian economy are on the other hand. True friends-partners can cope with everything; with schedules of delivery, convenient forms of payment, maintenance services, and mutual assistance to solve any issues.
“It was interesting for me to know about the structural changes that are introduced in the management of FENDT, the expansion of cooperation between German company and famous machine builders of the world, introduction of modern technologies in the machine-building industry of Germany. A lot of interesting and necessary information; it was important to hear, to see and to note it. I returned to Ukraine full of energy and with new ideas for expanding cooperation with FENDT”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.

Oleksiy Vadaturskyy expressed his special gratitude to Roman Shapoval and Oleksii Kopylov, management of AGGO representative office in Ukraine, for organizing such a wonderful meeting,
“It would be unfair to be in Bavaria and not to see the BMW museum. We were glad to familiarize ourselves with the history of one of the world’s leaders in car industry, learned the history of well-known car models and development of the whole plant. In addition, thanks to management of FENDT and its former employees, we were given an unusual excursion to a small family enterprise, which is engaged in livestock farming and product processing. It was interesting to look at the organization of a family business for raising a dairy herd of cows, pigs, milk processing, sausage products, to familiarize ourselves with the operation of a mini-shop for the production of cheese and dairy products, as well as with a mini-brewery. I was impressed with the fact is this farm is the object of green tourism. It is visited by adults and children. You can relax, try natural and environmentally friendly products there. I think we also have something to learn from our German friends in organization of such simple things”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
