The excursion started with a meeting with the employees of NIBULON’s recruitment department. They familiarized the future agronomists with the main activities of NIBULON, its structure, and told about the company’s cooperation with young talented specialists. In particular, they noted that everyone who wanted to be employed or undergo practical training could fill in a form on the company’s official website in the section “Careers” or at the central office (9 B Falieievska, Mykolaiv).
After the conversation, the young people moved to the transport registration point. They observed the delivery of grain to the terminal, as well as saw sampling to analyze product quality. Then they moved to the three-story laboratory and administrative building. The company’s specialists demonstrated the work of modern imported equipment and told about the specifics of determining quality measurements and research activities with grain and its processed products, as well as about the highest world standards and certifications that NIBULON successfully confirms each year.
After that the company’s specialists showed the future agronomists the weighing station with electronic scales, tensometric equipment and an operator room. The youth was very impressed by two famous grain storages (domes) with a capacity of 50,000 tons of grain and a diameter of 65 m each, Europe’s largest hemispherical structures and the world’s largest capacities to store grain. It was interesting to the guests to know that the transshipment terminal not only performs shipment on water transport, but also receives products from rail, water and road transport. The head of the technological department Olena Steblichenko said,
“Ukraine is an agrarian country. And it is famous not only for production of agricultural crops, but also for exports. Due to cooperation with NIBULON, which provides storage and export services, both small farmers and rural people are able to earn money. Many of them live this way. And the main thing is that everyone who cooperates with you can be sure that NIBULON has thought everything out”.
The guests made a walk along the reconstructed cargo berth and visited the new engineering building of the transshipment terminal.
At the end of the excursion, the guests thanked the management of NIBULON for an informative visit. They emphasized that due to the acquaintance with NIBULON, a leader of the Ukraine’s agrarian sector, they made sure that they have made the right professional choice.
“We liked the excursion at the transshipment terminal very much. Thank you for the fact that specialists from different fields have paid so much attention to us, they have told us in detail about the various processes with grain, and told about all activities of NIBULON. We have had the opportunity to see everything what we are told and what we study. We are amazed by what we have seen. We want to undergo practical training and to become the company’s employees in the future”, said Elvira, a college student.
