One of the priorities of our personnel policy is the recruitment of young specialists. So, the employees of the recruitment department visit various institutions of higher education and meet with students. In particular, the recent presentation of the company's specialists at UNUH has attracted students and teachers so much that they expressed their desire to visit NIBULON’s facilities in Mykolaiv. They did not put off visiting the company. On November 13, the recruitment department organized an excursion at NIBULON’s facilities in Mykolaiv (the transshipment terminal and NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard) for the students and teachers of the Department of Technology of Storage and Processing of Grain from Uman National University of Horticulture (UNUH). Due to the specialty of the students, special attention was paid to the production and technological laboratory. In particular, the future technologists were interested in laboratory analyses, methods to conduct analyses, standards and quality requirements of various countries of the world.“Our students study the quality control of products and measure all mandatory indicators you measure… But here are specific analyses are performed, those that are required by export contracts. Moreover, there is a comparative assessment of the quality of grain required by both Ukrainian standards and standards of other countries. These standards are different. In particular, we teach our students on the basis of quality indicators in our country, and exports were not included in our programs; though, I believe that this should already be included. The colleagues who teach standardization came with us; therefore, I think we will raise the issue at the department and add it to the curriculum”, said Nina Osokina, a head of the department, after the excursion. The students were also very impressed with what they have seen at the transshipment terminal.“I am very impressed, since I visit a port terminal for the first time. Your laboratory is equipped with a lot of new modern equipment; highly skilled professionals work here, and I also want to join the staff in the future. Therefore, I am grateful for the opportunity to visit the company's facilities in Mykolaiv, for your hospitality and organization of the excursion”, said Nataliia Volynets, a fifth-year student. Since NIBULON’s transshipment terminal not only receives and stores products, but also improves the grain to basic standards, the specialists familiarized the students from UNUH with the technology of grain drying and the peculiarities of work of high-capacity dryers installed at the facility.“Of course we are very impressed with what we have seen today. We usually visit elevators, but they are small in terms of capacity… For students, it is also an opportunity to see a place where they can undergo practical training and work”, commented Nina Osokina. It is pleasant to note that some of the students from UNUH have repeatedly undergone practical training at NIBULON’s production branches. According to a fourth-year student Anastasiia Trofusha, she has undergone practical training at NIBULON’s facilities, in particular in Hlobyne town (Poltava region), for two consecutive years. And she is very satisfied with this.We hope that the excursion at our facilities in Mykolaiv was useful for the students and will contribute to their professional development.
