Within the framework of the project the company is building non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project designed for the cargo transportation along the Southern Bug River and executing dredging works on the river at its own expense.
Thus, on June 11, NIBULON conducted a penultimate production meeting headed by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy at the construction site. Natalya Balanyuk, the head of Voznenesk District State Administration and executives of the contractors also took part in the meeting.
The participants of the meeting examined the construction site and investigated the state of readiness of each facility. In consideration of the matters described above we can confidently say that NIBULON is faithful to its traditions. On March 20, the general construction work was started at “Voznesnsk’a” branch, and today it is coming to an end.
About 1,000 workers are being involved in the construction now. The number of workers involved in the preparation to commissioning process will increase to 1.3-1.4 thousand. Inhabitants of the neighboring villages and workers of other company’s branches will join them as well. At first sight the construction site reminds a big chaotic ant hill. In fact, nobody is messing around. All people are working according to the scheduled time like a Swiss watch.
Today most contractors who managed to cope with their tasks left the terminal or started executing additional work. They are “Astarta Mlynelevatorbud”, “Transvit”, “Poltavspetsmontazh”, Kondratyuk Self-Employed Individual (Volodymyr Kondratyuk), “Ukrdobrobut”, “Bulat”, “Vzayemodiya”, “Zhytlorembud-Nika” ,“Building company”, (Dnipro city). The latter, according to General Director, was the only company that agreed to construct the grain cleaning tower within 60 days and succeeded in it. Other contractors promised to perform it within 90 days.
The General Director of NIBULON thanked all the above mentioned contractors for the hard work and promised to invite them to a festive opening of the transshipment terminal.
The company’s management also highlighted the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolayiv region that quickly responded to the company’s request and eliminated the consequences of the bad weather pumping out more than 1.5 thousand cubic meters of water from the construction site.
Small quantity of erecting cranes is another sign that the construction work is coming to an end. There are only 4-5 cranes (earlier there were about 30 of them).
Weighing station, administrative and laboratory building and cafeteria are already put into operation. Furniture, laboratory and computer equipment are installed in administrative and laboratory building, as it was promised last week. The walls are decorated with large pictures of NIBULON’s branches. There are flowers on the window sills. Workers started settling in their working places. Committee for laboratory certification will arrive at “Voznesens’ka” branch next week. Thus the laboratory assistants will start working soon.
NIBULON is one of few Ukrainian companies that actively use energy saving technologies that allow reducing the consumption of expensive energy products essentially. Thus, solar batteries will be installed on canteen and administrative and laboratory buildings this week that is an alternative energy source.
Assembling of silos metalware is going at full speed today. “The Spanish company “Symaga” failed to ship metalware in time. Next part of the delivery (15 trucks) will arrive at the terminal on June 16. I will personally visit this facility, meet the company’s management and control the shipment process. However, this situation will not interfere with putting into operation of the terminal and it will receive the first grain from the agricultural producers after June 22,” informed Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
Fencing will be installed in the nearest time and entrance-exit control regime will be initiated.
Construction of the internal access roads is actively going on. Reconstruction of road from the transshipment terminal to the road P-55 Odesa-Novy Bug and road surface repair at Odeska Street in Voznesensk town are being executed now. The workers also build a bicycle road. Highway lighting at the access road to the terminal is already installed.
The next thing on the agenda is to perform commissioning work.
Thus, in spite of bad weather conditions and the delay with equipment delivery by the foreign company, NIBULON’s specialists did their best the transshipment terminal could receive new yield from agricultural producers.

Last week Oleksiy Vadaturskyy together with Andriy Vasyl’yev, deputy general director on legal and economic issues, had a number of productive meetings with the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelyan, and the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Kutovy. They discussed the problems of river navigation in Ukraine.
“I had a lot of meetings with the ministers these days. The Minister of Infrastructure, Volodymyr Omelyan, after visiting our company expressed his wish to meet and discuss a number of challenges as for enhancing of the river transportation and development of the industry. We agreed that I would meet with the specialists from the USA, ministry counselors, who study issues of navigation development over the Dnipro River, the Southern Bug River and the Desna River. Our specialists and I held several meetings with these counselors. They are impressed by the experience of our company’s specialists because we have studied and summarized the best experience of the USA, EU and Belarus Republic in usage of inland water transport. Together with the Minister of Infrastructure we exchanged our plans what exactly is necessary to do to move beyond the discussion about weight restrictions on roads to offer the alternative way. We demonstrated our resources and developments to the Minister”.
As a result, we decided that Andriy Vasyl’yev will join the working group that will make proposals together with the independent experts as for the river transportation improvement.
During the meeting with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovy, General Director of NIBULON discussed the solutions to the problems of grain transportation in Ukraine.
“This is really a problem today. If there will be bad weather conditions during the harvest, each truck with grain will be worth its weight in gold. So, if we do not solve this problem on a national scale, our agricultural producers will lose a lot of money on grain delivery to centers of its sale. Together with the Minister we agreed to continue the dialogue on a higher level in the nearest time, possibly on a level of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, so that our successful experience of river infrastructure development will be used all over Ukraine”, noted Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
