According to NIBULON’s Deputy General Director of Agricultural Production Kostiantyn Khmelnytskyi, despite the fact that the beginning of the harvesting fell on the third decade of June, the harvesting rate is quite high; geographical spread of harvesting is wide due to the reduction of crop ripening period at the company’s branches in both central and western regions.
Unlike companies that don’t have their own logistic component and sufficient amount of machinery, which are not sufficiently provided with elevator capacities and places for the primary storage of grain, NIBULON has significant advantages. The company has been fully prepared for the harvesting.
NIBULON has finished harvesting of winter barley. In total, it harvested 1,816 ha of the crop. Gross yield comprised almost 10 thousand tons at the crop yield of 53.3 dt/ha. The leaders in harvesting winter barley are NIBULON’s branches located in the central districts of Mykolaiv region (RE “Lidiyivs’ke”, “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch) and “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch (Khmelnytskyi region).
Harvesting of rapeseed will be finished soon. To date, NIBULON has already harvested 93 % of the crop (about 4.5 thousand ha). Gross yield has been formed at the level of more than 11.5 thousand tons. RE “Lidiyivs’ke” and “Kamianets’-Podil’s’ka” branch demonstrate the highest crop yield – 30.2 dt/ha and 27.1 dt/ha respectively.
The company has finished harvesting of early grain crops, in particular wheat, in Mykolaiv region. Gross yield received from the company’s branches in this region is more than 45 thousand tons. “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch, “AK Vradiyivs’kyy” Ltd. and RE “Lidiyivs’ke” demonstrated the highest crop yield – 52.8 dt/ha, 53.8 dt/ha and 49.5 dt/ha respectively.
The harvesting campaign moves to the central region – “Chygyryn” and “Kamyanka” branches (Cherkasy region). The harvesting is being continued in the west and east. The control test threshing of wheat shows a potential yield of 50-55 dt/ha.
High quality of wheat grown at NIBULON’s branches is also worth mentioning. 80 % of wheat delivered to the company’s linear elevators corresponds to the indicators of II-III classes.
In total, 60 combine harvesters throughout Ukraine and 60 trucks used for the transportation of grain to the company’s complexes for receipt and grain storages are involved in the harvesting.
At the same time, specialists of NIBULON’s production department are purchasing mineral fertilizers for the autumn sowing campaign. Nitrogen and complex fertilizers have been purchased. They are being delivered to NIBULON’s branches.
The company adheres to the rule that in order to create the optimal combination of water, heat, nutrients, a favorable phytosanitary condition and to eliminate or mitigate the negative influence of environmental factors in the period of autumn development, wintering and the following spring-summer period, soil must be treated for 5 days after completion of harvesting. The company’s specialists are preparing soil for sowing winter crops. In particular, the primary tillage has been carried out on 15 thousand ha (almost 70 % of the already harvested areas).
