On August 7 Mykola Kruglov, the head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration, visited the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”. During the visit he and NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy observed the unique St. Mykolai floating crane constructed at Santierul Naval Constanta shipyard (Constanta city).
Head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration received detailed information concerning technical possibilities and characteristics of the vessel and met its crew. St. Mykolai floating crane corresponds to the best European standards and requirements and is the most productive transshipment floating crane in Ukraine. Its daily capacity is equivalent to the capacity of NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city.
NIBULON’s specialists also introduced the project of reconstruction of the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON” developed by the best foreign experts, such as TTS Сonsulting, the world leader in project development for shipyards, Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO), and Via Nova Plant Company (Italy).
Upon construction completion the annual capacity of steel processing will be 15 thousand tons. In particular, NIBULON plans to construct up to 5 “Volgo-Don Max” vessels and 5 tugs of POSS-120 project on a turnkey basis per year.
To organize the shipyard operation there will be created 350 workplaces after its reconstruction. According to the specialists, labour efficiency will be doubled and prime cost of products will be half as much as compared to the similar enterprises of the sector. “We set ourselves a goal to create one of the world’s best and up-to-date shipbuilding companies with the best logistics and unique equipment”, mentioned Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
We would mention that at the shipyard there will be built vessels from Ukrainian metal which will operate under Ukraine’s flag. In November 2013 it is planned to commence construction of one of two tugs of POSS-115 project. Term of implementation is 9 months. And in spring 2014 the company is going to build tugs of POSS-120 project and then non-self-propelled vessels intended for operation along the Southern Bug River.
On reconstruction completion “Volgo-Don Max” vessels will be built. This allows to deliver grain to Iran and to transport Kazakhstan grain to the Black Sea via the Volga-Don Channel.
During the meeting NIBULON’s Deputy General Director on Legal and Economic Issues Andriy Vasylev informed Mykola Kruglov about the status of the investment project to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers as transport waterways of Ukraine and problems appeared during its implementation. In particular, he noted the results of the meeting at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine held on August 1, 2013.
Also Mykola Kruglov became familiar with the project to dredge the Southern Bug River. The company’s specialists and Mykola Kruglov specified a number of appropriate actions to involve the central authority and core ministries in implementation of the investment program being of great value for economy of the region and Ukraine. In particular, Head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration suggested carrying out a working meeting with participation of representatives of the central authority and core organizations in order to assume the measures to solve this problem.
Mykola Kruglov said that such common work between authority and business will bring positive results for economy of the region.
