On April 11 NIBULON was visited by representatives of the Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture: Mark Lindeman and Inbal Becker, crop-assessment analysts, and also Yuliya Dubinyuk, an agricultural specialist of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. The representatives are engaged in estimating the status of crops in different regions of the world, including Ukraine. Every year the specialists visit regions where they analyze crop development trying to give the most accurate yield forecast. NIBULON, a transparent player on the agrarian market, actively participates in the program of the USDA and is the only representative within the whole Mykolayiv region. The reason for such selectivity, according to the U.S. specialists, is that in NIBULON there were created the best conditions to cultivate agricultural crops. With participation of NIBULON’s management (Kostyantyn Khmel’nyts’kyy, the deputy general director of production, and Yakiv Pinchuk, the head of the production department) the experts visited RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branch (Domanivka district). They observed sown areas, estimating winter crop development (wheat and barley) and giving their own forecasts for the current agricultural season, and also analyzed the level of agricultural culture at the production branch. According to Mr. Lindeman, at present the crop development is the best that allows to hope for a fair yield in future. NIBULON’s participation in the program of the USDA, started in 2003, will be extended in future. During the meeting the foreign experts wanted NIBULON’s specialists to visit the USA to undergo training within sharing of experience.
