According to Volodymyr Zhmur, production deputy director of the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”, at present almost 100 shipbuilders, working at different production areas, ensure accurate construction of vessels according to approved schedules.
In particular, he mentions that NIBULON-5 readiness comprises 16.5 % and NIBULON-6 readiness is almost 2.5 %.
As about NIBULON-5, at present unit No 20 has been formed; on January 15 it was joined to the bottom section of unit No 30. The upper deck and sides of unit No 30 have been placed and installed on the vessel. Besides, the bottom section of unit No 40 has been installed on the stocks.
Manufacturing of pipelines to equip sections is being continued; production of ship’s foundations has been started.
The shipbuilders installed units No 50 and 10; subassembly of units No 60 and 70 (the vessel’s superstructure) is being continued. Electric installation work will be commenced soon.
Formation of units and sections is being continued on NIBULON-6. At the plant “Leninska Kuznya” metal cutting (readiness is 76 %) is being finished, and at the same time it is being processed. As of January 20 metal will have been cut and bending will have been started.
Construction of vessels is performed according to the following stages: metal cutting-manufacture of hull systems – subassembly and fabrication – (NIBULON-6) – hull formation (NIBULON-5) – test of spaces – assembly of deck equipment – assembly of electrical and radionavigation equipment – mounting of insulation and metal plating – plating of spaces – equipping of superstructure and living spaces – deck painting – mooring trials  – sea trials.
The tug of POSS-115 project is a vessel designed by the Ukrainian design bureau “Torola Design Group”, a partner of NIBULON. The high-tech tug is intended for operation on inland waterways of Ukraine, is of mixed navigation and corresponds to the EU environmental legislation.
