At the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON” there is being continued construction of tugs of POSS-115 project – NIBULON-5 and NIBULON-6.
Due to the shipbuilders, last week on NIBULON-5 there were started and continued a number of works, and the tug’s readiness reached 43 %.
1. Assembly and pipeline area:
– equipment and gears are being placed and mounted in the engine room of the vessel;
– mooring winches have been prepared for installation;
– assembly and testing of bottom and on-board fittings, logs and echo-sounder have been presented for approval;
– testing of tanks siding with outer plating is being completed.
2. Paint area:
– intermediate coat of paint has been applied on the vessel’s bottom; after it is dried, final coat of paint will be applied (antifouling coat);
– cleaning of inner bottom tanks is being completed; soon they will be painted according to a painting scheme;
– pipes and items of the mechanical-fitter’s part for further installation aboard are being primed.
3. The specialists continue to produce and install guardrails, coamings, hatches to enter the vessel’s spaces. Spaces are being equipped; there are being created passages for air channels and cable paths through bulkheads and decks of the vessel and also installation of foundations for small equipment.
4. Assembly and welding area:
– the vessel’s superstructure is being prepared for installation of doors and portholes;
– foundations of rudder-propellers have already been installed on the vessel; there has been started welding of  starboard foundation; port foundation is being prepared for welding;
– there is being performed welding of deck equipment such as bollards, bitts, bulwarks and also equipment of the vessel’s spaces (small foundations, deck passages and cable paths);
– there has been started assembly of the section No.90, navigation room; when the assembly is completed, there will be started outfitting and installation of equipment.
Readiness of NIBULON-6 comprises 23 %. At present hull structures in the units No.20 and No.30 are being welded. Formation of the unit No.10 is being finished; the sections of smoke pipes have been laid (unit No.90). Pipes for double-bottom compartments of the vessel are being produced.
