We continue to tell you about NIBULON’s employees who have been courageously defending our peace since the day of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.
Meet Viacheslav Kosenko, an economist by profession. He graduated from Mykolaiv State Agrarian University with a major in Accounting and Audit. Since 2004, he has been working as a leading accountant of NIBULON’s central office. After February 24, 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On February 24, my wife and I were at home. Both of us had COVID. My first reaction was shock, and my action was to look for a military ID. As soon as my health allowed, I joined Mykolaiv Volunteer Formation of the Territorial Community. I volunteered to mobilize in October. You see, I didn’t have a choice whether to go to war or not. Ukraine is my home, I don’t need another one. I believe that serving and protecting our country is my duty.
Back in 2016, I was called up to the security company of the factory military committee, where I took the oath, but I did not serve in the army, I had no experience of conducting combat operations. Therefore, of course, I had to learn a lot and adapt to a new way of life”, says Viacheslav.
Today he is a soldier of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade based on The Right Sector Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. He serves in the engineering support group. He cannot disclose details about his duties, but he says that everyone in his unit is a one-man band, because they perform completely different assignments. By the way, Viacheslav’s call sign is Kobza, because he has a corresponding tattoo.
“Today, I can already tell that I performed combat tasks near Bakhmut. Recently, I have returned from Kreminna. So far, this is the maximum amount of information I can disclose. Everything else is a military secret. The mood of my combat comrades, despite the fatigue, is determined. We show and will show the russian occupiers that nothing good awaits them on our land. No matter how much time it takes. I hope that the next time I will be talking about the service in peacetime, after the victory. Greetings to everyone!”
