NIBULON continues implementing its large-scale project to revive shipbuilding and improve the logistics infrastructure of Ukrainian rivers. In particular, six shipbuilding orders are at different stages of readiness at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The shipbuilders also perform scheduled maintenance of NIBULON-2 tug.
The second non-self-propelled B5000 project vessel (manufacturing order No. 10027)
The shipbuilders continue performing outfitting on the second 100-m vessel that was launched at the beginning of May. To date, the shipyard’s specialists are adjusting the system to drive the hatch covers opening/closing, as well as testing deck mechanisms of the anchor and mooring equipment. In parallel, the shipbuilders finish painting the vessel’s buoyancy compartments.
The first Т3500 project tug (manufacturing order No. 10010)
The shipbuilders are laying cables, installing insulation in the living accommodations and in the engine room. At the same time, the specialists are producing and installing pipes of exhaust system, fuel and lubricants system. The main switchboard is being prepared for installation on the vessel. In addition, the shipbuilders continue installing the propulsion unit; they also continue cleaning and painting the tanks.
The second Т3500 project tug (manufacturing order No. 10011)

The portholes have been installed on the pilot house and on the vessel’s superstructure. The log, echometer and bottom and side fitting have been installed and tested.
The first and the second POSS-115 project tugs (manufacturing orders No. 10028 and No. 10029)
In parallel with metal cutting and bending with the help of modern equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers, the metal processing workshop keeps producing sections of the vessels’ strength hulls. In the assembly and fabrication workshop, the pilot houses and sections of the tugs’ superstructures have been produced. The shipbuilders have joined the first two sections of the first tug out of four tugs of this project.
The self-propelled P-140 project floating crane (manufacturing order No. 10032)
The company’s shipbuilders have started producing the bottom sections of the 140-m vessel. At the same time, the metal processing workshop continues to work with metal in order to produce the order’s sections. It is precisely for the construction of complete vessels of 140 m NIBULON purchased a high-capacity portal slewing crane LPS 180 with a capacity of up to 42 tons from German company Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH. It is planned to install and put it into operation this autumn.
According to NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON’s goal for the coming years is to construct its fleet that will number 100 vessels in order to transport 4 million tons of grain per year along the rivers, thereby removing about 167,000 trucks from the roads.
