The victory ceremony was held in the concert hall “Yunist” on February 28. The given event can be characterized as highly patriotic. For the first time in history of this important civil project, the soldiers of the 79th Mykolayiv separate airmobile brigade (commanded by the Colonel Oleksiy Shandar) were acknowledged as the winners under the category “Citizen of the Year”. At the ceremony there were introduced two special nominations, such as “Motherland Defender” (the winners are Mykolayiv battalion of patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Mykolayiv region, the regiment of National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the 79th separate airmobile brigade, the 19th infantry battalion, the 36th costal defense brigade, the 145th separate repair regiment) and “Assistance to the Ukrainian Army”. The winners of the latter are NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, the adviser of the President of Ukraine Yuriy Biryukov, the volunteer council coordinator under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Davyd Arakhamiya, the director of Mykolayiv locomotive repair plant Vyacheslav Symchenko and the director of Mykolayiv armored plant Oleksandr Shvets.
Since the first days of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, NIBULON was one of the first to support the Ukrainian soldiers. The company actively started to implement its program to assist the Motherland defenders, as our country could not fully provide its defenders with the required things at that time. Assistance to the army became one of the main directions in NIBULON’s activities. While presenting a badge and an Honorary Diploma to O.O. Vadaturskyy, Oleksandr Ivanov, a military commissar of Mykolayiv region, noted that thanks to such people, the slogan “People and army are united” made sense.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy thanked Mykolayiv citizens for appreciating the company’s activity and said,
“Today we have a big holiday. We honour people who defend our country. And we are obliged to them. When Ukraine faced the aggression, we were asked for help: the military was lacking for basic things: they had nothing to eat and to wear; they had nowhere to sleep. It was obvious that the country was not able to give all the required things to its defenders at that time. Our volunteers undertook a heavy burden, and we, managers of the companies, started to help. I thank managers of Mykolayiv companies for assisting the Ukrainian Army. I thank my son Andriy Vadaturskyy, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, for assisting the army together with me, and he continues to do it. To support the Armed Forces and our defenders will always be an important work.
We must remember those people who died, defending us; we must help and support their families. With the lapse of time, the country itself will solve all these problems, and today it is our duty and our common responsibility.
Now the country is solving these issues more efficiently. This program gives an opportunity to honour our defenders, to express our admiration and respect.
NIBULON’s Deputy Director of construction, fleet operation and navigation safety Andriy Volik was acknowledged as the winner under the category “Industry and Transport”. The agricultural company headed by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy is renown in Ukraine as a solid shipowner and shipbuilder. The honorable citizen of Mykolayiv, deputy of the regional country Igor Ovdienko who knows the shipbuilding problems better than anyone else told about the importance of this role, “Shipbuilding, ship repair and modernization at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard are performed according to the world standards. People have a job, and NIBULON always thinks about the future. That is why it is a great pleasure for me to present this award”.
Andriy Volik thanked for the award and stressed,
“This is also NIBULON’s award; it is the acknowledgement of its work to develop fleet, to revive navigation along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug”.
There are two large periods in my life: my service in border forces and NIBULON. Here I mastered the second job and found a team. I have a lot of things to be proud of; NIBULON’s fleet consists of 34 units. The tugs and barges are equipped with modern equipment. NIBULON created hundreds of workplaces. The important thing is that NIBULON enables people to demonstrate their experience and knowledge and to see their own prospect.
The fact that NIBULON constantly wins a lot of programs, contests, nominations (the section “Our achievements” on NIBULON’s corporate website) demonstrates an active civil and patriotic position of NIBULON’s team and Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. The economic working efficiency of NIBULON’s employees, the desire to improve themselves constantly and the company’s social responsibility are always appreciated by the society. The current award “Assistance to the Army” is among the most valuable, as it demonstrates NIBULON’s contribution to the struggle for safety, freedom and independence of our Motherland.
