Some users of websites with dubious reputation, describing themselves as “fighters for rights and freedom” of NIBULON’s employees, say NIBULON allegedly restricts freedom of speech; the company is said to prohibit websites; the employees cannot express their own point of view to say nothing of freedom of speech, and an expression “European NIBULON” is used ironically.
Our company was repeatedly infringed on different issues, and that is why we appreciate freedom, including freedom of speech. Our employees have a lot of communication channels in order to express their point of view, propositions to NIBULON’s management (weekly meetings, private communication or communication by e-mail or telephone). But our company, like European ones, prohibits its employees from doing private things or entertaining themselves on dubious websites during working hours on-site.
NIBULON’s management, like many other Ukrainian and European companies, pays particular attention to labour culture and constantly improves it, ensuring industrial economic growth of the company, implementing leading technique and technologies, training qualified specialists and ensuring high wages. NIBULON adheres to the European principles of business conduct, not forgetting the peculiarities of national mentality, culture, values of employees, etc.
In other words, NIBULON’s management honestly performs their duties to its employees, without violating their rights. Thus, the company is entitled to request employees to conduct their direct duties. The employees must perform their production tasks, following job descriptions, regulations on department/service, orders or other normative documents in the company. The inefficient use of working hours, for example social networks, blogs and forums, distracts from performing duties and can ruin production plans, schedules, reduce production pace, cause dangerous situations and threaten NIBULON’s information security (leakage of commercial information). In addition, culprits use social networks to spread dangerous software or illegal information, etc.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned problems and to use working hours efficiently, NIBULON’s specialists analyzed how the company’s employees used their working hours, including Internet sources for personal needs on-site. In particular, they established the websites used by employees, duration and others. It should be noted that some employees took a permit as permissiveness. NIBULON’s management announced this information during a series of meetings with its employees; and the relevant decisions prohibiting the use of Internet sources for personal needs during working hours on-site were set in the minutes of meetings. At the same time, NIBULON does not prohibit the use of Internet sources for professional activity (according to job descriptions).
