The Prime Minister said about his desire to visit NIBULON’s shipyard during a meeting with entrepreneurs of Kherson region; NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy also attended the meeting.
Volodymyr Hroisman thoroughly familiarized himself with the production process of the shipyard and its new facilities built as part of the shipyard reconstruction, namely a workshop with an area for metal cleaning and priming and a metal processing workshop equipped with the most modern equipment of the world´s leading manufacturers (Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany). The production capacities have no analogues in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine was interested in the information about NIBULON’s plans to expand its production facilities, new projects, capacities and advantages of the tugs built at its own shipyard, passenger transportation routes, and plans to dredge the Dnipro River; Head of the Government promised to help with the dredging issue.
“700 people already work at this facility. These are new jobs. It is important on the part of authorities to create normal conditions for business development. The obstacles for entrepreneurs and enterprises are being created, but our task is to remove them… The same meeting was held in Kherson yesterday, and we talked about shipbuilding there. This is a strategic industry for your city where tens of thousands of people worked. Unfortunately, it has fallen into decline both in Ukraine and in your region. Today we see revival of shipbuilding in Ukraine. From the point of view of river navigation development and restoration of our status as a maritime state, I am impressed by the technologies we have already begun to use in Ukraine”, said Volodymyr Hroisman.
The meeting with Mykolaiv business representatives at NIBULON’s transshipment terminal was the final stage of the Prime Minister’s working visit. There were raised questions of attracting investments and development of the region’s infrastructure.
