Thus, the specialists installed bottom and onboard equipment in the engines rooms. The company’s shipbuilders started to test sea chests and branches, and also ballast and lubricating oil tanks (according to the rules of the Register of Shipping – by using hydraulic test). Upon completion of tests and approval of tightness, the tanks will be cleaned and painted.
The shipbuilders started to mount insulation and to pull cables into the cable paths in the lower cabins. In addition, the pilot houses have been already cleaned and primed; they will be installed on the tugs soon. At the same time the specialists are finishing to produce gears for lifting these pilot houses (the so-called shafts).
The shipbuilders continue welding and assembly of bow anchor gears for thee tugs. They will install the ship’s units (No. 11, aft superstructure) aboard the tugs soon.
On March 12 the shipbuilders moved Kozatskyy tug to the next position at the shipbuilding site, having left place to perform keel-laying of the first non-self-propelled vessel (NBL-91 project). We would remind you that subassembly was started at the shipyard last week. Now it is time to form ship’s hulls.
NIBULON’s non-self-propelled vessels are constructed according to the following stages: metal cut – subassembly and fabrication – hull formation – primary painting – deck equipment assembly – electrical equipment assembly – final painting – putting into operation.
