What helps NIBULON to have blameless credit history, to enjoy confidence of first-class European banks, Ukrainian and foreign institutions, partners during twenty-one years? There is an interview with the specialists of NIBULON’s finance department.
“I think that among many companies you will not find two similar finance departments as well as two similar business models”, thinks Andriy Myhailyuk, a head of the finance department of NIBULON, “Activity of each financial subdivision is an accurate representation of all unique characteristics of a definite company. Taking into consideration that our company is specialized in trade with high negotiability of stocks, the role of our department consists in ensuring of resources to purchase products. Our work allowed the company to involve long-term credit resources and to achieve the required financial leverage within NIBULON’s investment program. Our department gives the required tools both to trade, logistics, NIBULON’s development, allowing the company to keep leadership positions among Ukrainian exporters”.
Andriy Myhailyuk has been working for the company for more than 6 years. Earlier he worked at Mykolayiv large state company, “My job was standard, one-type, with limited opportunities for career growth. That is why I decided to work for NIBULON”.
At present under the direction of Andriy Myhailuyk there work a lot of youth. Having visited the transshipment terminal of NIBULON five years ago, Ana Dzhuglya, being student of the economics department, decided that she would work here. Undergoing training in the financial department, Anna was proposed to work here, “I work with pleasure, as NIBULON provides with high stable wage, deserved working conditions, and friendly team”.
Svitlana Bocharova, an economist of cash operations, has been working in the company for 20 years. Such experienced specialists are very much appreciated by the company, “During these years great changes have happened in our company: we became technically improved, more dynamic. Natalya Lyaschenko tells, “I always liked to work with figures. My work inspires me. I can see structure while observing a lot of numbers. It is easy for me to transform figures in sequence in order to carry out analytic work and to search for interconnection”. As an economist, Natalya was attracted by progressive thinking of the company’s management, “Before getting a job at NIBULON, I had the opportunity to observe construction of the transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city. The wonderful building attracted my attention; it was up-to-date and unique. When I started to work for the company, my expectations were realized completely. Every day we see the way the leading ideas come true”.
According to Andriy Myhailyuk, in order to work successfully, a financier requires good communication skills to reach optimal conditions for the company during negotiations with banks, “A financier of a large company must know many ways to solve a task and to choose the most efficient solution. Knowledge of English is also one of the most important things for a financier. Communication with banks is impossible without English. It goes without saying that law skills are also important. Banking practice uses English law. Besides, fulfillment of obligations is obligatory for banking practice, and you must be able to redeem a promise”.
At present NIBULON cooperates with many leading international financial institutions, namely the World Bank, the EBRD, the International Finance Corporation, large foreign banks and powerful financial institutions. All these organizations and institutions give positive reference to the company’s financial activity, “NIBULON is a company that creates positive image for Ukrainian business abroad. And any bank can be proud of having NIBULON as a client”, Head of IFC Representative Office in Ukraine Olena Voloshyna described the company’s activity.
