Logistics management system by NIBULON’s activities is an adapted system with feedback that caries out accurate logistic functions and operations. Logistics management system is an effective way to organize and control all shipping operations and routes. It carries out organization of agricultural product delivery by using all company’s resources as efficient as possible from one point to the other via the optimal route within the shortest possible terms and with minimal losses.
NIBULON’s logistics management system is ensured by the shipping logistics department and forwarding department.
“The company’s image and competitiveness depend on quality and efficiency of product transportation! NIBULON’s logistics system allows to ensure grain movement from a field to a port; direct access to an agricultural producer in different regions of Ukraine that reduces natural risks when purchasing agricultural commodities; commodity delivery all over the world”, tells Oleksandr Grygorenko, acting deputy general director of logistics.
“Logistics in the agrarian sector means principles and methods that allow to plan, control operations during transportation of agrarian products in compliance with the customer’s requirements”, tells Natalya Hazhanets, deputy head of the shipping logistics department.
“One of the main goals of NIBULON’s development is to improve its own logistics system. Its constant extension ensures NIBULON such competitive advantages as minimal cost of transportation, convenience, operability and quality of cargo delivery”, adds Lyudmyla Marchenko, a head of the forwarding department.
The tasks, set before our departments, require enormous talent, knowledge, and skills. According to Vitaliy Andreychykov, an engineer of the shipping logistics department, the specialists of the departments must think strategically, have managerial abilities, persistence, purposefulness, stress tolerance, and be creative.
“Our team’s strength consists in excellent skills of our members. Each of us is characterized by reasonableness in making important decisions, excellent communicative skills (as the work provides for cooperation with many people), managerial abilities, responsibility”, stresses Igor Volchek, an economist of the shipping logistics department.
A striking example of professionalism of two departments is NIBULON’s cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsya commenced in 2012 on the basis of a Memorandum on Support of Ukraine’s Agrarian Sector.
“Cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsya resulted in grain transportation by exit routes. This contributed to the considerable increase of transportation process quality. Due to our efficient work to ensure efficient unloading and quick return of empty railcars, the railcars turnover was considerably reduced. Due to our participation, the company was able to reduce the railcars turnover in three times, from 8-10 days (on average within Ukraine) to 3 days! Thanks to the planned work of the departments, despite large volumes of transportation, there was no demurrage, downtime of rail transport and motor transport through cargo absence”, tells Oleksandr Volkov, acting head of the shipping logistics department.
Valentyna Dyatlenko, an engineer of the shipping logistics department, taking into account NIBULON’s activity and its role in the international and domestic markets, describes the departments’ role in the following way: creation of conditions for stable and predicted development of Ukraine’s grain sector; achievement of efficient cooperation among market participants when exporting and transporting grain and oil crops; increase in competitiveness and operation efficiency of both companies and Ukraine’s agrarian sector.
“Our work is peculiar ‘logistics thinking’ that based on the efficient management. Each of us realizes those serious tasks set before us. Everybody is not afraid of solving them creatively. “An innovation approach is to the company’s good”, sums up Lyudmyla Kandybko, a forwarder of the shipping logistics and forwarding departments.
