On June 1, 2010, NIBULON’s management decided to establish a new “Mriya” branch in Sokil village, Kamyanets’-Podil’s’k district of Khmelnyts’kyy region.
“In September 2007, having graduated from Vinnytsya polytechnic university (economics specialty), I came to work for NIBULON. As opposed to a number of fellow students, I had to search for a professional job. I thought about employment earlier and set a goal to work in NIBULON. Thanks to Oleksandr Gaiday (deputy general director) who saw my potential I held a chief economist job in a month. Due to his support and trust of General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, in 2010 I was entrusted with execution of buying and selling of “Mriya” Ltd property. Later I headed a new branch”, tells Andriy Kuchmar, a director.
The branch team recollects the former “Mriya” Ltd enterprise with a heavy heart.
“I came to NIBULON since the first days of its foundation. Not only I, but also a lot of my friends, colleagues who worked at “Mriya” Ltd came to NIBULON. Having been a leading enterprise once, “Mriya” Ltd started to dilapidate after the crisis, the government stopped supporting it. It was difficult to pay wages let alone purchase of machinery…
But NIBULON managed to save the branch, its team, and workplaces. I have been working as an accountant for almost 29 years: at “Mriya” Ltd for 26 years and here for 3 years. At the branch there are above 134 employees, including 100 employees from the former “Mriya” Ltd. The company saved both them and their families”, tells Mariya Pyzhyk, a chief accountant.
At present the young branch is not lacking in ambitions; though, it is only three years old.
Sergiy Saltanovskyy, a chief agronomist, mentions, “Last year our team promised Oleksiy Vadaturskyy to become the best not only among NIBULON’s branches of the region, but also by the company in whole within two years. The first step to reach success has been made. In 2012 we entered the top three leaders in the amount of winter wheat yield (53.7 dt/ha). We have a number of awards given by the company and the District Administration. The team is used to working in the powerful “NIBULON’s pace”. The management sets a task and we deliver a serious result!”
Solidarity of the employees, following traditions play a significant part in the company’s success.
Mykola Yakubash, a chief zootechnician, tells, “None of the branches has such an Easter tradition which we have. Our team together with priests consecrates the farm, fields, machinery, and even river (into the rain!). Certainly, only our labour and professionalism guarantee a high yield and animal growth. But such traditions make our team stronger.”
Mariya Pyzhyk adds, “On New Year’s Eve the children from a local kindergarten and pupils come to the branch and congratulate us presenting their entertainment program. It displays their respect for our staff and our actions. Who knows maybe these children will develop our branch in future?”
The inhabitants have already got accustomed to NIBULON’s concern for the community: due to the company’s funds there was repaired school; equipment for the local kindergarten and copy machines for the district educational department were purchased; NIBULON even assists in eliminating natural disaster effects!
Olena Syrkizyuk, a secretary, shares her recollections and impressions about her work, “For 3 years of work I remember the harvest festival celebrated last year. The staff organized a great holiday, we invited the community, musicians to the local house of culture, people from neighbouring villages arrived. We arranged a real holiday for the whole village!”
Olena describes leisure time of the team, “Our branch is large, we have our own farm, are engaged in cultivation of agricultural products. We do not have much free time. On weekends we stay at home, devote our time to family and friends. Though we have enough communication at work, we are friends outside the branch.”
There is nothing ideal and I must admit that downs precede ups. According to the branch director, it was difficult at first. Many people who came from “Mriya” Ltd (the backbone of the team) are used to working not at the powerful branch but at the Soviet production company. Absence of the government support, appropriate material and technical basis caused absence of self-organization, labour requirements. Who will want to work without getting wages for months?!
“With thanks and respect to my colleagues I can say that they were able to change themselves. We started to appoint the youth to the leading positions (NIBULON stakes on young generation), and young people began to set the pace. Soon all the employees started to catch up with the work pace and there appeared a team spirit and self-organization. I answer for each employee, each one is universal. I also set the pace. I am an economist but know machinery and agronomics not worse than engineers and agronomists”, notes Andriy Kuchmar.
Vasyl Syrkizyuk, a tractor driver-combiner, mentions, “It is impossible to compare former “Mriya” Ltd with NIBULON’s branch. I value my workplace, have long-term experience, and work honestly. Before NIBULON’s arrival it was extremely hard to work: we did not have enough specialists, machinery was broken, I had to perform not only my duties without getting wages for months. Today we work with confidence. Everyone who decided to link his destiny to NIBULON was not sorry at all.”
