The excursion started with NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, where the guests were told about the implementation of the shipbuilding program and the reconstruction. The company’s specialists showed them the shipyard’s assembly and fabrication workshop, metal processing area, metal cleaning and priming area with Rösler preservation line, having explained the specifics of each production unit.
At the transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds, the children were shown the terminal’s transport registration point, modern laboratory and administrative building. NIBULON’s specialists demonstrated the operation of imported equipment that helps them to measure quality and perform scientific researches on grain and processed products. The guests also saw the automated weighing complex, granaries, as well as the terminal’s cargo berth.
At the end of the excursion, the guests were very impressed. Both children and adults shared their impressions. Tenth grader Ania said, “Today we had a very interesting meeting with NIBULON. It was interesting because of the fact that we have seen such processes and acquired such knowledge that cannot be found in any textbook. We have learned a lot about our city. Particularly I’m impressed by the export figures and the number of countries with which NIBULON cooperates. There are countries among them that are virtually on all continents. I cannot believe that you have such a large fleet of 75 vessels. Thank you for the fact that now we have the drive to love our city even more and to be proud of it”.
“This is the second time NIBULON has organized an excursion for us at the shipbuilding and repair yard and transshipment terminal. This meeting is very helpful for us and our students, because, in addition to teaching English as a part of the program, the children had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with real professionals, NIBULON’s specialists. They heard a lot of interesting information and thought about how to be useful in this life. The excursion also helps to raise the activity of schoolchildren and influences the formation of leadership qualities. In the end, this meeting will help them with their future professions, because they see where they can go to work, where the professions, salary and working conditions are decent.
